Summary Generated by Built In

Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.

We have partnered with 1,500+ companies to deliver a new kind of learning that's transforming today’s workforce.

Our upskilling apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage to build critical AI, data, and tech skills. Our learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.

In June 2022, we announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes us the UK’s first EdTech unicorn.

But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output.
Join Multiverse and power our mission to equip the workforce to win in the AI era.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an influential and innovative Product Manager to guide the strategy for our most foundational technical products. You'll join a collaborative team of 150+ engineers, data, designers, and product managers. We’re split into 5 “Pillars”: Foundations, Competency, User, Customer, and Enabler. In each area, we have Product Managers plotting a bold course to the next version of Multiverse while delivering value continuously.

This job opportunity is specifically within our Foundations Pillar. In Foundations, we build the stuff that supports everyone else in Tech to deliver awesome stuff to our customers and users. Our scope includes Platform Engineering (full-stack user-facing experiences like our global navigation and notifications, core services shared by every squad in Multiverse like authentication and log in), Data Engineering (data pipelines, data architecture), and Internal Developer Platform (DevOps, developer tooling, measuring developer satisfaction). As well as the creation of some internal products for the wider business beyond tech.

Your initial focus will be on Platform Engineering, where you will create products, services, and toolkits used directly by our own engineers. This is a chance to have a massive impact, improving the productivity, speed, and satisfaction of every developer at Multiverse. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building infrastructure, shared services and toolkits that unlock potential and empower everyone across Multiverse tech. No two days at Multiverse are the same, so we need someone who is comfortable with the unknown unknowns.

What you’ll do
  • Develop the product vision and strategy for our core platform services, aligning with key business objectives and the needs of your internal users.

  • Collaborate with a talented squad of DevOps, data, and software engineers to translate strategy into a clear, prioritised roadmap, backlogs, and user stories.

  • Lead product discovery and definition, working closely with your engineering counterparts to define, prioritize, and deliver high-impact work.

  • Champion your users by deeply understanding the needs and pain points of our engineering and business teams to create high-quality solutions.

  • Define and track success metrics to measure the impact of your releases, ensuring your work delivers real value and drives positive outcomes, and across Multiverse more broadly, to create high-quality experiences that deliver real business value

  • Partner with the Product Director for Foundations to ensure your roadmap supports the priorities of the entire organisation.

  • Mentor and coach team members, helping to elevate our product practice and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

About you
  • You have significant experience as a Product Manager, guiding cross-functional teams to build and ship successful software products. We anticipate this person will have around 3+ years of experience, but we care more about your skills and impact than a specific number.

  • You have experience working on technical products where engineers are your end-users (e.g., APIs, SDKs, platforms, or internal tools).

  • You are passionate about delivering outcomes over output, and you're comfortable using data and defining metrics to measure success.

  • You have a strong understanding of Agile principles and experience working in frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.

  • You excel at building relationships and communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders to create alignment and drive projects forward.

  • You are actively curious about applying AI/ML to enhance developer tooling, streamline workflows, and ultimately boost engineering productivity and velocity.

Benefits

  • Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 5 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days, 2 company-wide wellbeing days (M-Powered Weekend) and 8 bank holidays per year

  • Health & Wellness- private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, gym membership & wellness resources through Wellhub and access to Spill - all in one mental health support

  • Hybrid work offering - for most roles we collaborate in the office three days per week with the exception of Coaches and Instructors who collaborate in the office once a month

  • Work-from-anywhere scheme - you'll have the opportunity to work from anywhere, up to 10 days per year

  • Space to connect: Beyond the desk, we make time for weekly catch-ups, seasonal celebrations, and have a kitchen that’s always stocked!
