The Opportunity:
 

As a Product Manager for Imperva On-Premise WAF, you will own product strategy and execution for our enterprise-grade Web Application Firewall serving Fortune 500 companies, large financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and government agencies. You will drive the product roadmap for solutions deployed across hardware appliances, virtual machines, and cloud environments.

You should be prepared to make decisions with imperfect information, know how to lead without authority, and be comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes strategic vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must also enjoy spending time with customers, sales engineers, partners, and other stakeholders to understand their challenges and identify the most impactful solutions.

Communication skills are key to success in this role. You must be prepared to communicate effectively with all areas of the company. You will translate high-level company vision and goals into actionable tasks, set product strategy, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with your design, engineering, and go-to-market teammates. This role requires both strong technical depth to work closely with development teams and business acumen to engage effectively with customers and drive commercial outcomes.

A strategic product thinker who combines technical depth with strong business judgment, comfortable working hands-on with engineering teams while engaging directly with enterprise customers to identify high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for Imperva On-Premise WAF, making strategic decisions on feature prioritization
  • Work closely with customers to deeply understand security challenges and pain points before defining solutions
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact features through rigorous analysis of customer needs, market requirements, and business value
  • Partner with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to deliver features that solve critical enterprise security problems
  • Define detailed product requirements and specifications for hardware, virtual machine, and cloud deployments
  • Articulate product vision and strategy clearly to stakeholders across the organization
  • Drive go-to-market strategies and support enterprise sales cycles
  • Analyze competitive landscape and customer wins/losses to guide product decisions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience with enterprise B2B products
  • Strong customer-facing skills with ability to extract and validate real customer needs
  • Experience working with hardware appliances, virtual machines, and cloud-based solutions
  • Background in networking, cybersecurity, or infrastructure products - strong advantage
  • Proven ability to make strategic trade-off decisions and prioritize ruthlessly
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical capabilities
  • Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams; ability to travel when required
