Product Manager

About you

You’re passionate about transforming education systems through technology. You thrive in multidisciplinary environments and enjoy connecting user needs, policy objectives, and technical possibilities to create impactful digital products that scale.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Engineering, Product Design, Education Technology, or related field.
• A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or Educational Technology is desirable.
• Product Management certification or specialization is required.
• 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, preferably in the education, public, or social impact sectors.
• 5+ years of experience working closely with software development teams under Agile methodologies.
• Proven track record of leading the end-to-end product lifecycle: from discovery and research to development, release, and iteration.
• Demonstrated experience translating educational or public service needs into scalable digital solutions.
• Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to design product roadmaps aligned with institutional goals and user impact.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with experience presenting to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience conducting discovery processes with real users and facilitating workshops with government or institutional actors.
• Business acumen and ability to balance user impact with value creation for the organization.
• Deep understanding of usability, accessibility, scalability, and data security principles in the context of public sector technology.
• Familiarity with education platforms, EdTech trends, and public education policy in Latin America is a strong plus.
• English Full Professional Proficiency.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

• Design and execute product strategies aligned with public education goals and client objectives, defining a clear product vision and success metrics (pedagogical, operational, and experiential).
• Lead discovery phases in collaboration with Design and Research teams, identifying user needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.
• Translate discovery insights into product roadmaps, epics, user stories, and functional requirements that guide agile delivery.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, operations, and data teams to ensure high-quality, user-centered product delivery.
• Define non-functional requirements such as accessibility, scalability, usability, and data integrity, ensuring compliance with institutional standards.
• Coordinate product releases and go-to-market strategies alongside operations, training, and communication teams.
• Continuously gather and analyze real user feedback (e.g., analytics, surveys, field reports) to improve adoption, usability, and impact.
• Maintain strong relationships with public sector stakeholders to ensure product alignment with institutional strategies and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to expand business or increase product adoption based on stakeholder needs and system challenges.
• Monitor and report on product performance, user adoption, and outcome indicators, ensuring products meet the intended impact in the education ecosystem
