Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
People:
- Create a positive team member experience.
- Work with Product Team and developers to create high level labor estimates to develop and deploy functionality.
- Work with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired functionality changes.
- Facilitates cross-functional design sessions.
- Conduct training as needed.
Client:
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Be responsible for direct interaction with clients including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive business requirements, use cases, and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Write and maintain manuals, guides, and online Help to assist users with installation and operating procedures.
- Performs product demonstrations to current and prospective clients.
- Acts as the technical and/or product subject matter expert during sales calls.
Value:
- Conduct 2nd-tier technical support.
- Gather requirements and build and document specifications for development.
- Apply and test product upgrades to the hosted site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a business analyst capacity. Experience with all aspects of the System Development Lifecycle as well as experience with several different project management methodologies for gathering requirements (waterfall, agile, use cases).
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience with MS SQL and advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Requires limited supervisory responsibilities including training employees, assigning work, and checking work for accuracy and completeness.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm as well as interaction with external vendors and clients as necessary.
- Independent travel requirement: up to 10%.
