Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join our team in our office in Leuven and drive the vision, strategy and success of our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

  • Be the driving force and visionary behind your assigned products and portfolio, leading the direction of your solutions with energy and momentum.
  • Own and continuously update the product roadmap and strategy to ensure alignment with market needs and company goals.
  • Lead new product development initiatives: define compelling customer value propositions, develop business cases, guide development, and successfully launch products in global markets.
  • Conduct full lifecycle reviews of your portfolio with the Technical Product Manager and take action where necessary to maintain competitiveness and value.

Product Pricing/Positioning:

  • Collaborate with regional sales and service teams to ensure effective commercial operations and outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Define the pricing and licensing strategy for your products.
  • Set transfer prices, recommended sales prices and/or license fees to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Work closely with the Technical Product Manager to track the product lifecycle.
  • Continuously monitor sales performance, market competitiveness, and profitability of your products across different markets.

Customer Advocate:

  • Serve as the voice of our customers and translate their needs for the development team.
  • Monitor relevant competitor products and substitutes, taking action to ensure the product portfolio remains competitive.
  • Collect and create knowledge of your core segments and applications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration/Training:

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts to plan and execute successful product and feature launches globally.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to create commercial and sales materials, deliver impactful training, and develop new tools to support the global sales force.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Product Management or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar Product Management role, preferably in a technical or industrial setting.
  • Passionate about product development, strategic planning, and implementation.
  • A natural technophile who enjoys building long-term relationships with customers to understanding their needs.
  • Experienced in managing technical software/hardware products through their full lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and a strategic outlook.
  • Experience in New Business Development is a plus.
  • Results-orientated, able to take ownership and drive initiatives forward.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, inspire, and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and enthusiastic to travel globally (up to 30%) and explore new markets, cultures and eco-systems.
