Job Description:

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Curation team, focusing on advancing our data intelligence platform. Alation specializes in collecting, processing, and synthesizing metadata from large enterprise data environments. We enable data analysts and scientists to discover and utilize data effectively while empowering governance teams to oversee it. To achieve their goals, our customers need to drive the Curation of the data assets in their catalog, ensuring they are discoverable, trusted, compliant with policies, and ultimately drive value for the organization. 

What you'll be doing:

• Drive the mission for our Curation squad, enabling customers to curate the right data with the most valuable information to enable the outcomes they are pursuing. 

• Manage the optimizing and improvement of many core features that are heavily adopted by customers with data stewardship workflows and more. 

• Lead the development of future integrations to help automate and deliver greater value through purposeful curation. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of product initiatives.

• Engage in customer discovery, validate ideas, and iterate rapidly based on feedback.

• Incorporate AI strategically where it provides value, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

You should have:

• Graduation or Post Graduation from IIT, IIM, XLRI or other top-tier institutions.

• At least 2 years of experience in product management or a similar role.

• Proven experience in product management with a track record of delivering impactful products.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, establish clear goals, and execute effectively.

• Strong customer discovery and problem-solving skills.

• Pragmatic approach with a focus on achieving results and finding the truth in decision-making.

• Familiarity with enterprise data environments, integrations, or metadata management is a plus.
