Job Description: 

We are seeking a talented EEI Product Manager to join our growing team of domain experts, designers, and developers supporting government and commercial clients in the climate, energy, and clean transportation industries. 

Join our Energy, Environmental, and Infrastructure Product and Engineering (EEI P&E) Team as we work to enhance and modernize a diverse portfolio of products within the EEI Group. The EEI P&E Team works across all divisions of EEI, including the Climate, Energy, & Transportation (CET), Environment and Planning (E&P), Disaster Management (DM) Divisions, and more. Some of EEI’s primary goals are to help clients achieve smart, resilient, and low-carbon growth by leveraging our expertise in energy, climate adaptation and resilience, greenhouse gas mitigation and sustainability, energy efficiency, and transportation. Our data-driven approach uncovers smarter ways to deliver a low-carbon and resilient future, providing a full range of services to advance smart, sustainable growth. This position would be working on projects across the entire EEI group, with focuses in CET and E&P. 

We are excited to expand our team with the addition of a dedicated EEI Product Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to support product management across several products in the EEI P&E portfolio. Some of these products exist today and need the product strategy revisited as part of modernization efforts, while others are new and require strategy and management from the ground up. We are seeking an experienced product management professional who can work independently and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional product development teams with both established products and new initiatives at both large and small scales. 
 

As an EEI Product Manager, you will work with business owners, product managers, and product owners to discover and define product opportunities, delivering solutions through iterative planning, prioritization, and execution. You will start with customer and user research to design product strategies that prioritize user needs. You will generate ideas and explore possibilities, incorporating feedback, securing stakeholder buy-in, and working with development teams to ensure end products successfully implement strategies that meet user expectations. If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact and excited about the growth opportunities within our team, we would love to hear from you.
 

What you will be doing: 

  • Define product strategy using co-creation and collaboration. 
  • Balance customer needs with business objectives in the product roadmap. 
  • Prioritize and sequence product features into Product Increments (PIs) to deliver value and minimize risks. 
  • Address technical debt and security to ensure long-term goals. 
  • Capture business priorities and must-haves in the product backlog. 
  • Act as the primary liaison between users, technology, clients, and stakeholders. 
  • Represent user needs and ICF's value proposition. 
  • Ensure alignment with the overall product strategy across cross-functional teams. 
  • Monitor market trends and adjust product strategy accordingly. 
  • Assist with investment requests, resource coordination, and manage forecast/budget updates. 
  • Inform the requirements process with initial user stories. 
  • Define goals, must-haves, and the definition of done for each PI. 
  • Support the team to meet sprint goals by reviewing the backlog and updating requirements. 
  • Maintain transparency with stakeholders on features, blockers, and timelines. 
  • Explain product vision, strategy, and progress to various audiences. 
  • Foster repeatable frameworks and cross-team collaboration. 
  • Collaborate on Agile ceremonies and norms. 
  • Make informed decisions by consulting with others and socializing tradeoffs and reasoning. 
     

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, software engineering, science, quantitative subject or a related field)(candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)
  • 9+ years of applied product management experience in the software industry. 

What we would like you to have: 

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks. 
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience preferred. 
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI technologies to enhance product management, including the ability to integrate AI-driven insights and tools into the product strategy to create more personalized and innovative products. 
  • Experience with geospatial data and solutions. 
  • Experience working in the energy, environment, or transportation sectors. 

Professional Skills: 

  • A strong portfolio showcasing past product management projects, including case studies that demonstrate your process and impact. 
  • Proven experience conducting user research using various methods (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing) with at least three major products. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate research findings into actionable insights. 
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Mural, or similar. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrable experience presenting to stakeholders and justifying product decisions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, without constant oversight. 
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$115,889.00 - $197,011.00
