The RoleAs a member of the Aspen Technology (AspenTech) Inmation product management team, this product management role is focusing on the Inmation Data Fabric in its role to enable the AspenTech Data Strategy. You’ll join a team of very skilled, talented and passionate people, always bringing the industry best practices to our workflow.

Your Impact

  • Identifying domain-specific data model structure usage in heritage AspenTech products. Design heatmaps and provide analysis of AspenTech’s product’s compatibility with Industrial Data Fabric concept.
  • Recommending the AspenTech portfolio potential for harmonization and standardization of business model structures and incorporation of Industry Standards where applicable in collaboration with the product management and R&D.
  • Working with customers on their data model journey and usage of Industry Standard Data Structures and modification thereof. Deeply understand the challenges, needs and desires of the customer and identify proper positioning in the market. Use customer insights to drive data portfolio decisions. 
  • Mapping business (use case)/domain-specific data model structures of use cases into canonical data model designs with the help of the Inmation PU team.
  • Continuously monitor and verify the landscape of canonical models and other technologies, e.g. knowledge bases that use a graph -structured data model or topology to represent and operate on data.
  • Responsible to life cycle (formation through execution) on the above areas and to continuously specify the market and market needs.
  •  Responsible to drive the day-to-day management of the data model aspects of the Inmation Industrial Data Fabric and selected portfolio to drive profitable growth for all AspenTech product portfolios.
  • Focusing to enable with Inmation PU highly performant data services used to move and manage massive amounts of data, aggregating the data and provide supporting data visualization and analysis capabilities. 
  • Brainstorming with our Product Owners, technical architecture sessions with our product experts, you’ll bring our customer’s features from idea to reality.
  • Share knowledge with the team by participating in Code Reviews and Pair Programming.
  • Participate in all agile ceremonies (standups, planning, training, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives).

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree and experience within technology, preferably control software and application software. Knowledge of computer programming. Data structures, algorithms, concurrent programming, elements of operating systems design, etc.
  • Proven track record in being able to effectively lead in the strategical technology area of data interoperability and integration standards.
  •  Familiar with concepts such as networks, databases, servers, communications and information security
  •  Familiar with programming (scripting) languages.
  •  Broadly competent across many areas of technology (infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, analytics) and deep in at least 2-3 of those areas, 10+ years of experience required.
  •  Real-world experience in manufacturing operations with Operational Technology background.
  • Capability of contributing to the design of a complete solution across the entire lifecycle of a data-driven activity: from pre-sales through design and delivery of the solution.
  • Experienced in navigating complex technological environments, delivering innovative solutions, and driving customer success and retention through strategic insight.
  • Ability to lead by example in a matrix setup and strong in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
  • Candidate is comfortable at the intersection of technology and business and has strong customer anticipation and presence.
  • Proven experience connecting technology with measurable product value is critical to this role.
  • English fluency and strong presentation skills.
