The Role & What You Will Be Doing 

The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing brand plans for assigned products, managing product P&L, forecasting, and participating in the new product introduction (NPI) process. The role requires ensuring compliance with Viatris’ regulations and local regulatory requirements, and involves close collaboration with various departments to support product success.

  • The Product Manager will oversee all aspects of product management for assigned pharmaceutical products, including strategic planning, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration, to achieve business objectives and support the growth of the product portfolio.

  • Develop comprehensive brand plans for assigned products, including marketing strategies and tactical plans.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and sales performance to adjust strategies as needed.

  • The effective use of digital channels, such as social media, email marketing, webinars, and other online platforms, to increase/keep Brand Awareness and support for the sales.

  • Specifically, we are looking for someone with responsibility for the development and implementation of digital strategies that replace the traditional support provided by sales representatives.

  • Prepare and manage product P&L, ensuring alignment with business unit goals.

  • Conduct regular forecasting and budgeting activities in collaboration with the finance team.

  • Work closely with the demand and planning team to ensure accurate forecasting and product availability.

  • Participate in the S&OP process to align supply chain activities with business objectives.

  • Actively participate in the NPI process for new products assigned to the product portfolio.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

  • Ensure all activities comply with Viatris’ compliance rules and local regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and submit marketing materials for approval through the Veeva system.

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.

  • Collaborate with creative agencies and internal teams to produce high-quality marketing materials.

  •  Maintain close cooperation with supporting departments and operative functions, including sales, regulatory, medical, and supply chain.

  • Facilitate effective communication and teamwork across departments to achieve business goals.

  • Maximize the digital opportunities of the related products, with close cooperation with the Digital Manager.

  • The Product Manager will be accountable for the financial performance of assigned products, the successful execution of brand plans, and adherence to compliance and regulatory standards. The role requires regular reporting to the Head of Business Unit on product performance and strategic initiatives.

 

About Your Skills & Experience 

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in using marketing and forecasting tools

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and approval processes, particularly in Veeva

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail

  • Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and Czech at an fluent level is required.
