Position Overview 

The Data Intelligence Product Management team is a function responsible for achieving market dominance in the Governance DaaS space. We are hiring for a Product Manager for our News Analytics product, providing news aggregation and sentiment analysis capabilities. We are responsible for defining and executing on both the short and long-term product strategy in close partnership with our ‘triad’ partners Engineering and UX. We work across every team in Diligent along with customers and partners to develop unrivalled knowledge on the needs of both of existing users and the market as a whole; and utilise this knowledge to deliver on Diligent’s business goals. As well as our core responsibility to build an industry leading GRC platform we also serve as SME’s and a centre of excellence for Product, Market and Domain knowledge across the business. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Drive the product roadmap for your solution, through understanding customer needs and evaluating, curating and ruthlessly prioritizing new ideas.
  • Develop and implement the product strategy that align to the company vision and strategy.
  • Be the voice of the customer in our product team, by clearly communicating and sharing insights about our customers and how we can get their jobs done better.
  • Engage with customers for discovery and validation of new solution capabilities.
  • Manage your solution backlog, writing user stories and collaborating with the team on design.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with UX, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success teams to build and launch products to market.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the business domain, applying problem-solving skills to address critical and complex issues to ensure the product evolves to make our customers successful at their jobs.
  • Track product performance, user engagement, and outcomes. 

Required Experience/Skills  

  • Experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a B2B DaaS software industry.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong business acumen. Understand the entire software development lifecycle and are experienced in agile cross-functional environments and being a part of autonomous teams.
  • You love talking to customers, prospects discussing product and business strategy and do not hesitate to get jump in and get the job done.
  • You have a data-oriented mindset, and you are passionate about user and performance metrics.
  • Own customer/stakeholder engagement for major product issues and design product value propositions for large audiences (e.g., Professional Services, Marketing, Sales).  

Preferred Experience/Skills  

  • Experience within News Analytics. 
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Pendo and/or comparable tools is preferred.
  • Experience in Database and software development.
