Prophecy has assembled a world-class engineering team to build the Low-Code Data Engineering Platform. As a PM, your goal is to help guide and lead this team in achieving this mission. You would be responsible for several first-to-market efforts and direct revenue-generating product lines that will define the future of Prophecy.

The impact you will have

Product Vision & Strategy

Collaborate with the founders to define the product vision and strategy. Translate this vision into a clear product roadmap that aligns with business goals.

Lead Product Growth

Engage with the rest of the engineering team and become the driver of the future product roadmap of simple, functional, and elegant feature sets led by customer requests.

Drive the process

Write product documents such as roadmap, product requirements, and critical user journeys to build delightful products that drastically simplify our customers' jobs.

PM based out of India

Prophecy engineering is centered around India and you will be working based out of India, directly with founders, customers, and engineer leaders. This is one of the rare opportunities to work as a product owner from India.

As an initial product team member, you will help build and mentor a team as the company grows and instill a strong product culture within the organization.

What You'll Need/Do

• 10+ years of experience in product or engineering management
• Experience in Spark/Data Engineering puts you in front of everyone else
• Prior coding or engineering management experience will help you a lot
• Strong bias to ship products by understanding the most critical aspects to make the product successful
• Write product functional requirement specifications.
• Work closely with customers to understand product usage and convert them into product requirements.
• Evangelize the Prophecy product through blogs, social media platforms, and industry conferences.
• Work with the engineering, delivery, and success team to develop and manage overall requirements, scope, schedules, and deliverables with the engineering and success team’s stakeholders.
• Work very closely with engineering and deliver owners to plan and track features and releases.
• Experience moving large cross-cutting technical or engineering programs and products from inception to delivery, articulating the impact using metrics.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team to develop solutions
• Comfort in working in short, agile, iterative development cycles
• Entrepreneurial spirit, priding yourself on getting things done with a high level of quality
• Strong desire to work in a not well-structured, fast-moving startup environment
• You have been a top performer your entire career and have very high standards
• You have a very high sense of ownership and responsibility, with high attention to detail
• B Tech or above degree in CS or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Spark/Data Engineering 
• Prior coding or engineering management 
• You have shipped software over multiple releases, including software where you drove the delivery of the first version.
