Description
Role Summary:
At the core of our business model, inKind creates a dining marketplace that benefits our guests, restaurant partners, and our business. Our Product Team manages a diverse product suite from a Guest App that helps users discover, dine, and pay to a Partner Portal where restaurants access data and tools to support their business. The inKind Product Manager will support team leadership's vision and long-term plans for inKind's new and existing product offerings. A successful candidate must be comfortable communicating across a variety of stakeholders: current roadmap with executives, high-level direction with design, detailed requirements with engineering, and upcoming enhancements with marketing and sales. In this role, you will be responsible for the roll out of new product offerings as well as the refinement of existing product offerings as assigned by leadership in pursuit of company goals.
Who You Are:

  • Passionate about our mission and can see the value this role brings to us, our restaurant partners, and our customers
  • Able to pivot within priorities and respond to new ones as we continue to break new ground with our industry-first restaurant financing model
  • A tenacious steward for product improvements, ensuring that requirements make the journey from stakeholder imagination, through development, and into a viable feature
  • Adaptable executor who is inspired by both team collaboration and individualized task management
  • Motivated by rapid growth and hungry to hit targets and increase revenue

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Maintain your assigned portion of the product roadmap and coordinate deliverables with key stakeholders to connect the dots between stakeholder needs and the products that help service them
  • Own, manage and prioritize features and bugs that impact your assigned product offering and manage dependencies and constraints with other product managers
  • Monitor key metrics and performance for new product offerings and make adjustments through the lifecycle of the launch
  • Proactively identify new features and products to help supplement current products
  • Understand markets, competition, and user preferences in order to assess risk, value, feasibility, and usability as key factors to product success
  • Shepherd potential features through strategy, discovery, and delivery, testing multiple hypotheses and embracing data to make decisions
  • Ensure that we minimize the amount of rework required by resolving the biggest decisions early and continuously closing gaps in understanding and requirements as the product progresses

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or another related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management
  • Experience in analytics and ability to visualize data and metrics through dashboards and other reporting tools
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to make and back up key decisions on product direction and roadmap
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and execution skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • Early- or mid-stage startup growth experience, particularly where "crossing the chasm" was a key hurdle
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Product analytics platform expertise such as FullStory, Amplitude, or similar

Work Environment:

  • The candidate in this position will be primarily located in an office environment and be exposed to lighting, temperature, and noise level conditions typical of that environment
  • This position is primarily in-person, with an expectation of in-person work at the physical office location in Austin, Texas

Some of our Benefits:

  • Generous PTO and company holiday policy + company paid Short Term Disability
  • 100% employer covered health and dental insurance for our direct employees (a set plan is covered, with higher tier healthcare coverage available at employee's additional cost; dependent coverage is at employee's cost); vision plan available at employee's additional cost
  • Child Care Benefits and generous parental leave
  • Dog-friendly workspace in a secure building with great views of downtown Austin
  • Daily lunches and snacks

Salary :

An Insider's view of inKind

What’s the vibe like in the office?

We're a collaborative, hard-working and ambitious team! We enjoy spending time together and celebrating each other's achievements. One of our values is to call out achievements big or small, which is something we practice regularly at all levels of the company. We're a very positive place to work (and being dog-friendly helps with that)!

Ellie

Head of People

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

We've reached a pivotal moment in scale with the amount of users and clients joining our platform. We're wildly excited to release our new discovery portal and app that will create an expansive and connected network making it even easier for our users to discover new venues and unique restaurant events only accessible to our network.

Marcus

Head of Product

What makes someone successful on your team?

We are a team of doers who get things done in a collaborative environment. We move as one unit working closely to accomplish the team’s goals that, in turn, make inKind very successful. We ask questions (a lot of questions), make mistakes, and learn from every decision we make - evolving as a team as we learn from the past and plan for the future.

Matt

Chief Revenue Officer and Co-Founder

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

The team I’m on is oftentimes the first interaction a client has with inKind. That can be a lot of pressure, but the encouragement to speak up & collaborate across teams means that I have a solid understanding of team goals as well as the goals of the company. The more I interact with teams adjacent to mine, the better prepared I am.

Emma

Mid-Market & Enterprise Account Executive
