Job Description

The Product Manager for our Buildings & Parking business will be responsible for product management and marketing of Wall Coatings and Joint Sealants Products and Application Fields within the Commercial Construction Division.

This role involves creating, maintaining, growing, and managing a Product Range that drives profitable and sustainable growth for Sika in its target markets.

The Product Manager will lead demand creation in the market through all marketing channels—sales teams, social media, webinars, sales tools, and training programs.

The position also includes project management for all innovation projects, including coordinating meetings, setting agendas and minutes, using SIP to ensure sound documentation and communication, developing effective milestone proposals, SIP Project Reporting, and Risk Management. The Product Manager will be responsible for communicating milestones and any deviations to the Leadership Team (LET).

Conducting market research and analysis to assess the size and attractiveness of product markets and application fields is also key. The Product Manager will monitor Sika’s market share relative to competitors, measure it annually, and work to grow it. They will develop comprehensive Strategic Plans in collaboration with business management and oversee their implementation.

Full responsibility for the accuracy of all product literature (such as product data sheets, brochures, flyers, etc.) and electronic media will also fall under this role.

Additionally, the Product Manager will oversee product packaging and labeling, including producing new or revitalized product and promotional packages.

Tracking major quality complaints and ensuring proper corrective actions are taken to foster continuous improvement and enhance customer satisfaction will be a key responsibility. Resolving product claims promptly with high communication standards and effective negotiation strategies is essential. The Product Manager will ensure that the claims process includes thorough inspection to avoid frivolous claims and ensure compliance with the standard procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field of study.

Min. 5 years experience in a Technical Marketing or Sales role.

Sales experience extremely desirable.

Min. 2 year site/field work in construction a plus.

High level of communication skills.

Must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
