Who We Are:

At Emburse, you’ll not just imagine the future – you’ll build it. As a leader in expense intelligence, we are creating a future where technology drives business value and inspires extraordinary results. Our AI-powered platform helps organizations modernize financial operations, increase visibility, and optimize spend across the enterprise.

The Product Manager will shape the vision and delivery of our software products and analytics experiences. Partnering with clients and cross-functional teams—engineering, design, data/analytics, account management/sales, and marketing—the role translates user needs into clear requirements, prioritized roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.

The Product Manager ensures analytics features (dashboards, reporting, data integrations) are accurate, explainable, and actionable setting success metrics and acceptance criteria to guide development. We seek candidates who demonstrate strong ownership, proactive problem solving, and the ability to anticipate next steps with limited direction. Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones is essential as we work with stakeholders in North America, Europe, and beyond.

**Please note this is a hybrid role (3 days a week in our Addison, TX office) and we are NOT able to offer sponsorship now or in the future**

What you will Do

  • Own features across the entire lifecycle, driving product development with a full engineering and design team from concept through launch.

  • Collaborate on building business cases, defining the overall product vision and strategy, and actively participating in roadmap planning.

  • Internalize customer pain points to create clear, concise product specs, and write persona-based user stories and UAT scripts (covering Procurement, Finance, Travel Manager, and CSM).

  • Enforce release acceptance with a buyer lens, manage the prioritized feature backlog and bug process, and continuously test, iterate, and drive features to launch.

  • Partner with Product Marketing and Customer Success to ensure new features are well-positioned, effectively adopted, and supported across teams.

  • Partner with Engineering to prioritize and deliver automated regression tests, data contracts, and system monitoring, proactively expanding test coverage based on risk.

  • Define comprehensive metric specifications, strict guardrails (variance bands, freshness SLAs, null/duplicate thresholds), and a clear team Definition of Done.

  • Assist in identifying key product success metrics and track post-launch performance using product analytics and user feedback.

  • Maintain proactive communication regarding project status, milestones, and timelines with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Publish customer-grade documentation—including metric definitions, data lineage/caveats, and release notes—in close partnership with Technical Writing.

  • Test, gather insights, and refine features post-release to drive ongoing user adoption and platform value.

What you will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

  • 6–10 years of experience in product, analytics, or data-quality roles, with a proven track record of shipping customer-facing analytics and reporting products.

  • Deep familiarity with corporate travel and T&E data workflows, including GDS, OBT, and TMC data flows, GL mapping, rate/tax handling, and PNR nuances.

  • Demonstrated experience defining and enforcing a clear Definition of Done, with the discipline to hold a strict "no-go" release stance when data guardrails fail.

  • Working SQL and BI literacy (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to validate complex dashboards against source systems, alongside advanced Excel fluency and Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Preferred ability to craft crisp product requirements, acceptance criteria, high-signal bug/issue reports, and buyer-centric UAT scripts.

  • Strong curiosity and customer empathy to frame problems from the end-user perspective, with the skill to separate signal from noise for high-impact decisions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence Engineering, CSM, and Tech Writing teams while delivering clear storytelling to executives and buyers.

  • A strong bias to action combined with high standards, keen attention to detail, and the confidence to hold releases ("not yet") until data integrity is fully verified.

  • Exceptional ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, managing multiple high-priority, complex projects simultaneously and delivering clear work on time.

  • Solid understanding of modern team productivity tools, techniques, and cross-functional processes that enable teams to operate smoothly together.
