What you’ll do:
Our growing Product & Design organization is seeking a technical and experienced Product Manager to support the trading services, integrations and partner ecosystem that power our customers’ trading activity. This role will own and evolve our trading platform and ensure its availability, reliability and performance. This PM will also work with our growing list of partners who use our award-winning trading software to train futures traders in an exciting, simulated environment. As the Product Manager in this team, you’ll build and execute the roadmap for all the platform and integration aspects of this business, working closely with our internal engineering team and those of our partners. The ideal candidate will help the organization consistently deliver customer value using their extensive experience and best practices to innovate, drive, and deliver impactful products and services that will differentiate our offerings and delight our partners.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with our business leadership, engineering, design, compliance and product teams to deliver against the product vision and strategy for Trading Services – with a particular focus on exchange connectivity, order routing / flow, risk and market data
- Evolve our existing trading platform with new customer, partner and business requests while keeping core trading functionality performant and stable
- Set and execute against a roadmap that delivers outstanding value to partners and their developers
- Identify partner and user needs and pains point through discovery processes, interviews, data analysis
- Interact with partners and internal product teams daily to validate product ideas/requirements and prototypes
- Partner with API Solutions Engineering team build clear, organized, user-centric API documentation
- Understand operational processes and important metrics with an eye on creating efficiencies through internal product introduction or expansion
- Write PRDs, manage backlogs, prioritize features vs tech debt
What we look for:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager owning / supporting a highly performant mission critical technology platform with low-latency, high availability, high reliability (ex: 10k+ transactions/requests per second)
- Trading industry experience, especially futures and options, a major plus
- Computer science background or equivalent technical experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, taking complex or ambiguous topics and distilling them for business stakeholders and/or clients
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives affecting many functions across the business, including effective influencing and prioritization
- Customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating needs and pain points into product value
- Experience working in a high performing product-engineering environment, with the ability to teach best practices to your colleagues
- Experience collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Client Services, and Operations
- Team player mentality
