Role and Responsibilities

How You Make a Difference
 

As Product Manager Smartphones, you hold end-to-end responsibility for the entire smartphone category within Samsung Netherlands. From flagship models to mass-market series, you define the direction, make strategic decisions, and lead the execution of multiple product launches each year.

You translate market intelligence into product strategy and turn data into action — working closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Channel Marketing, and HQ. With your senior experience, you can influence stakeholders at executive level while also steering detailed decisions that shape our success in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the full smartphone portfolio (flagship to A-series)
• Lead and execute go-to-market strategies, including product launches and promotionsEnsure strong forecasting and stock management in collaboration with SCM
• Deliver product presentations and strategic updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Translate market and competitor insights into pricing, positioning, and assortment
• Analyze performance data (sell-in, sell-out, 3rd party) to optimize results
• Monitor the 4Ps and ensure alignment across the entire marketing mix
• Collaborate with EU office and HQ for alignment and reporting
• Run ad-hoc research and reporting for strategic projects (EU/Korea)

Skills and Qualifications

Your team
As Product Manager Smartphones, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced Product Management team. You will work closely with the Head of Product Management and two fellow Product Managers, with whom you align on strategy, product launches, and market positioning. Within the team, Dutch is the main working language, ensuring clear and effective collaboration. At the same time, you will regularly interact with other departments such as Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain, making your role central in connecting different parts of the organization.

What Are Your Assets
 

You are analytical, commercially sharp, and bring several years of product or category management experience. You feel at home in a dynamic environment and can switch easily between strategic vision and operational detail. You take ownership of complex projects, provide direction to cross-functional teams, and are confident in challenging decisions.

We also request:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Marketing or Economics
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in product/category management, preferably in consumer electronics
• Proven experience in product/category management, preferably in consumer electronics
• Strong communication and presentation skills in Dutch and English
• Confident with data, reporting, and building clear business cases
• Ability to manage stakeholders and challenge decisions where needed
• Affinity with technology, smartphones and digital ecosystems
