Role Overview
Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a Product Manager to support the lifecycle management and commercial success of our sequencing platforms.
This role is focused on the on-market management of our sequencing platforms, ensuring they continue to deliver strong customer value, remain competitive, and evolve in line with user needs and organisational priorities. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally to translate customer, commercial, and technical insights into clear product requirements and actionable roadmaps, supporting ongoing product development and improvement.
Sitting at the interface of science, technology, and commercial teams, the role will act as a key voice of the customer, ensuring that development activities are grounded in real-world needs and that product decisions are supported by robust data and evidence.
The Role
What you will be responsible for
Reporting to the Associate Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for on-market product management
- Act as the voice of the customer (VoC), translating insights from customers and internal stakeholders into clear product requirements and priorities
- Develop and deliver data-driven product roadmaps, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines
- Coordinate with operations and supply chain to ensure product availably and lifecycle sustainability and proactively identify and mitigating delivery risks
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, Product Marketing and Commercial to ensure aligned and timely execution of product initiatives
- Act as a product champion, supporting commercial activities through development of sales collateral, defining supporting technical work, and assisting with complex technical queries

- Experience in product management of physical devices within biotechnology, life sciences, or medical devices.
- Demonstrated ability to use data to inform decisions and influence stakeholders
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working in matrixed environments
- Experience managing projects or product initiatives end-to-end, from requirements through delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Experience working next generation sequencing systems or genomics applications.
- Experience working under product development and commercialisation (PD&C) or equivalent development frameworks
- Exposure to global markets and diverse customer segments
