Job Description

Do you want to take a key role in protecting the financial industry from financial crime both in Norway and internationally?

About the role

Screening is a critical part of complying with sanctions regulations and safeguarding financial systems against misuse. It’s about identifying and stopping transactions and customers that may be linked to sanctions, terrorist financing, or other serious criminal activity. This is a rapidly evolving area, driven by major changes in the regulatory landscape and increasing demands on banks. With us, you’ll have the opportunity to play a central role in this transformation and shape the future of screening solutions – solutions that set the standard for the entire banking industry, both in Norway and internationally.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with skilled colleagues across disciplines from Product and Engineering to Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Compliance. You will also engage with other Tieto teams and our customers to ensure we deliver solutions that create value and set the benchmark in the market.

We are looking for a Product Manager who can work across KYC/AML services delivered by the AML Product unit within Financial Crime Prevention, Tieto Banktech. The position reports to the Head of AML and is part of a dynamic, diverse, and young work environment characterized by high pace, collaboration, and engagement, with room for humor and strong relationships.

As Product Manager, you will

  • Own and develop the product strategy for screening services in Financial Crime Prevention (FCP), aligned with regulatory requirements, market needs, and company goals, ensuring the entire team is informed and engaged
  • Define and lead the product roadmap in line with regulatory requirements, customer needs, and market trends
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to identify new opportunities and threats, driving innovation that creates value for banks and payment providers
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams to take products from concept to launch, ensuring proper product lifecycle management and documentation
  • Engage in dialogue with industry organizations, regulators, and customers across the Nordics and Europe
  • Ensure successful implementation of new products and services in collaboration with agile development teams
  • Contribute expertise in sales processes, customer dialogue, and training
  • Ensure quality and compliance in solutions and documentation
  • Monitor KPIs and profitability for the product portfolio

We are looking for someone with

  • Higher education in IT, economics, law, or another relevant field
  • Experience in product management, project management, or similar leadership roles
  • Relevant expertise in payments, KYC, sanctions screening, or AML, or experience in product/software development within these areas
  • Good understanding of sanctions regulations, KYC, and anti-money laundering practices, preferably from banking, financial institutions, or consultancy, as well as knowledge of legislation, regulatory requirements, and technology
  • Experience with agile development methods is an advantage
  • Fluency and excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English

As a person you are

  • A team player who builds strong relationships and thrives on collaboration
  • Motivated by creating customer value through agile methods and modern development practices
  • Analytical and structured, with the ability to see both the big picture and the details
  • Reliable and efficient and deliver quality over time
  • Solution-oriented and seeing opportunities rather than problems
  • Able to prioritize effectively and handle a fast-paced environment
  • Independent and confident in taking initiative and leadership when needed
  • Strategic and proactive – motivated by creating solutions that make a difference

Why join us?

  • A meaningful job – our solutions help reduce financial crime
  • A strong professional environment in one of the Nordics’ leading tech companies
  • Great development opportunities and career programs
  • Flexible working hours and competitive terms

Location: Oslo
