Xendit is looking for a driven Product Manager to lead our risk product suite. Leading a dedicated risk engineering and data science squad, you will own the roadmap and execution for merchant onboarding, transaction fraud prevention, and credit risk models. Your goal is to build scalable infrastructure that minimizes financial loss while providing a seamless experience for legitimate merchants and buyers across Southeast Asia.
Key ResponsibilitiesRoadmap Execution: Own, iterate, and deliver the data-driven product roadmap for risk infrastructure, prioritising across fraud, onboarding, and credit pillars based on business impact while continuously monitoring key metrics like chargeback rates, fraud false-positives, and onboarding cycle time.
- Fraud Prevention: Real-time risk engines and machine learning models for transaction monitoring.
- Seamless Onboarding: Identity verification (KYC/KYB) workflows that reduce merchant friction and ensure compliance.
- Credit Risk Management: Lending and settlement risk models to assess and mitigate financial exposure related to merchant payout cycles and transactional settlements.
Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience, specifically within Fintech, Payments, or Risk domains, including a track record of driving roadmap and execution for cross-functional squads (engineers, data, commercial) through influence rather than formal authority.
Data & Communication: Strong analytical skills to independently query data, translate complex metrics into product decisions, and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Domain Knowledge
Credible, hands-on expertise in at least two of the following:
- Payments fraud prevention and transaction monitoring.
- Merchant onboarding and digital identity verification (KYC/KYB), including a working understanding of the regulatory implications (e.g. AML, local data privacy requirements).
- Credit risk assessment, lending models, and merchant settlement risk, including familiarity with related regulatory considerations.
Skills Required
- 5+ years Product Management experience within Fintech, Payments, or Risk domains
- Solid understanding of at least one core area: payments fraud prevention and transaction monitoring; merchant onboarding and digital identity verification (KYC/KYB); or credit risk assessment and lending models
- Experience working with data scientists, complex APIs, and rule engines
- Strong analytical skills to query data, translate metrics into product decisions, and communicate technical risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Exposure to build-vs-buy vendor evaluations
