At RADAR, we're transforming the way the world thinks about physical retail. RADAR has raised over $104M from top investors, retailers, and strategics and works with some of the world's retail brands including American Eagle and Gap. We’re building the future of in-store experience where every product and every person can be precisely located in real time.
Our platform combines RFID and AI to unlock hyper-accurate product visibility and automation at scale. From real-time inventory tracking to seamless checkout experiences, our technology empowers some of the world’s largest retailers to streamline operations, reduce loss, and elevate both employee and customer experiences.
We’re a fast-growing, mission-driven startup where bold ideas, collaboration, and impact are at the core of everything we do. Join us as we reshape the physical world with digital precision, starting with retail and expanding far beyond!
ABOUT THE JOBIn this role, you’ll define and drive next-generation sensing capabilities, starting with Ultra-Wideband (UWB) for person-to-product attribution and advancing multi-modal fusion across RFID, UWB, and other emerging technologies. You’ll lead experimentation, prototyping, and productization to create breakthrough retail experiences, including assisted and frictionless checkout.
You’ll work closely with retail partners to develop proofs of concept, explore new use cases, and collaborate with vendors to evaluate and implement innovative technologies. This role is at the forefront of RADAR’s expansion beyond inventory, shaping new product categories and unlocking advanced shopper insights.
By the end of 2026, you’ll lead a pilot that fuses UWB and RFID in live stores, enabling person tracking and product attribution at scale.
ABOUT YOUYou thrive in high-impact, fast-moving environments where ambiguity is the norm and visionary thinking must be paired with practical execution. You excel at collaborating across teams, translating ideas into actionable plans, and building solutions that don’t yet exist. You’re passionate about emerging sensing technologies and excited by their potential to transform the future of physical retail.
Required:
- You have 6+ years in product management; 2+ years leading 0‑to‑1 or R&D products.
- You have the ability to navigate ambiguity and pioneer new categories.
- You have a strong technical fluency (sensors, data fusion, signal processing).
- You have experience collaborating with hardware, research, and data science teams.
- You have a track record moving experimental tech from lab to production.
Preferred:
- You have UWB product experience (RTLS, location tracking, IoT).
- You have multimodal sensor fusion expertise (RFID, CV, Bluetooth, LiDAR).
- You have retail technology passion (ops, LP, in‑store tech implementations).
- You have a background in robotics, autonomous systems, or spatial computing.
- You have experience with checkout‑free, frictionless commerce, or shopper analytics.
At RADAR, your pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role is an exempt position with a salary range of $100,000 - $200,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, 401k plan, flexible time off, and paid parental leave. The pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
Research has shown that women & underrepresented minorities are more likely to read lists of requirements and consider themselves unqualified if they don't meet every single one. This list represents what we're ideally looking for, but everyone has unique strengths & weaknesses, and we hire for strength & potential, not lack of weakness.
Use of artificial intelligence or a LLM such as ChatGPT during the interview process will be grounds for rejection of your application process.
In your first 30 days, you will:
- Immerse in the current RFID platform architecture and stack.
- Assess ongoing UWB experiments and vendor relationships.
- Build relationships across hardware, software, and data science teams.
- Engage pilot partners to align on use‑case priorities and constraints.
In your first 60 days, you will:
- Define an experimentation roadmap for UWB + RFID fusion.
- Establish success metrics for attribution accuracy.
- Run weekly discovery sprints with engineering and data science.
- Assess feasibility and cost models for pilot scenarios.
In your first 90 days, you will:
- Lock scope/timeline for a 2026 pilot with Gap and/or Uniqlo.
- Create a phased vision: proof‑of‑concept → assisted checkout → frictionless.
- Identify roadmap gaps and recommend talent/resource needs.
- Evangelize the R&D vision and align executive stakeholders.
- Mission-Driven: We're transforming retail with cutting-edge technology and building something that truly matters.
- Collaborative Team: We thrive on curiosity, shared goals, and solving complex problems together.
- High Impact: You’ll make meaningful contributions from day one and help shape the future of our product and company.
- Clear Communication: We value honesty, humility, and respectful dialogue—everyone’s voice matters.
- Balanced Lives: We work hard, but not at the expense of well-being. We respect time, boundaries, and life outside of work.
- Diverse Perspectives: We believe better ideas come from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints.
- Empathy-Driven Design: We build with deep respect for our end users, listening closely to their feedback and needs.

What We Do
RADAR is a platform that combines RFID and computer vision to automate and augment retail store processes. Our technology offers unprecedented speed and location accuracy, which allows stores to:
1) Manage inventory efficiently, through automated inventory counts, improved in-store replenishment and instantaneous customer stock checks
2) Measure all customer-product interactions, giving physical stores the same insight into consumer behavior and product performance as online stores.
3) Eliminate checkout lines altogether through our autonomous checkout tool.
