What do we need
Protein Metrics is looking for an experienced Product Manager for the Product Strategy team. With products now commercially deployed in over 300 biopharmaceutical accounts and over 450 institutions. Protein Metrics is a leader in scientific software for the discovery and development of biotherapeutics. As the Product Manager you will be responsible for market analysis, planning new products, contributing to product roadmap, and coordinating closely with the Engineering, Sales, and Service team who are globally distributed, for development of new and established software tools. This position reports to the VP of Product Strategy and Marketing.
In this role you will get to
- Provide input on product design to Development organizations for the best UI/ UX in the field
- Analyse the market for relevant competitive gaps to exploit
- Engage directly with end users and customers to understand end user needs, summarize use cases, and develop priorities
- Work with sales, marketing, and engineering to appropriately position the product portfolio (including new products and modules) to maximize visibility and competitive positioning. Contribute to sales training materials.
- Develop detailed product requirements using SWOT analysis, market research, and customer feedback to provide actionable pathways for development.
- Coach and mentor Protein Metrics field teams in product positioning and competitive strengths
- Liaise with Research and Development and explore potential market application of new algorithms, tools, and techniques.
- Help Dev/ Engineering assess timelines for product development and launch
- Organize use cases and requirements to plan for each release.
We are looking for people who hold a Degree in Life Sciences, with at least 5 years in Product management, contributing to enterprise-wide software development. You will have advanced communication skills, both written and verbal. And demonstrate the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
The Key Skills we are looking for
- An understanding of the practical, real-world benefits of AI/ML
- Experience with LC-UV-MS and/ or related analytical tools.
- Understanding of UX/UI design suitable for data from analytical instrumentation
- Customer management
- Developing product strategy
- Presentations to internal & external audiences
- Understanding of SDLC / Product Security
- Product management of scientific tools and/or software.
- Working with outsourced vendors
- Experience working with project and process management tools (Atlassian, JIRA, Confluence, c.)
- Knowledge of biopharmaceutical development
You may also have
- Experience with GxP environments
