What is this role about?

The Product Manager, Mobile App, will take full ownership of revamping and rebuilding the Bondora Boost App, transforming it into one of our most critical tools for customer acquisition and retention. This senior role serves as the bridge between business and development teams, ensuring the app delivers a best-in-class experience that replicates and enhances Bondora’s web functionalities. Reporting to the Head of Acquisition, the Product Manager will map business requirements, prioritize features, and oversee delivery timelines while collaborating with a dedicated pool of developers to bring the vision to life.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Bondora Boost App, aligning it with acquisition and retention goals. 
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the app as a key driver for customer engagement and business growth.
  • Map functionalities and requirements based on Bondora’s current web experience to ensure the app meets user expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, product, and customer experience to prioritize features that deliver the highest impact.
  • Lead and coordinate a pool of developers, managing workflows to ensure the app’s features are delivered on time and meet quality standards. 
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into clear technical requirements. 
  • Oversee the app’s development lifecycle, from planning and prototyping to launch and continuous improvement. 
  • Use customer feedback, analytics, and market research to iterate on features and optimize the app for acquisition and retention. 
  • Partner with the Acquisition and Engagement teams to integrate app functionality into Bondora’s broader customer journey. 
  • Ensure the app aligns with Bondora’s brand guidelines and provides a seamless, on-brand user experience. 
  • Stay informed about mobile app trends, technologies, and competitor offerings to ensure the Bondora Boost App remains innovative and competitive.

What would ensure success in this role?

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years focused on mobile app development. 
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering high-impact apps that drive acquisition and retention. 
  • Familiarity with app development processes, agile methodologies, and technical requirements for iOS and Android platforms. 
  • Ability to translate business goals into clear technical specifications for developers. 
  • Strong ability to prioritize features and initiatives based on business impact, user needs, and development constraints. 
  • Exceptional communication skills to manage cross-functional stakeholders and coordinate development teams. 
  • Experience leading development teams and ensuring timely delivery of app features. 
  • Comfort with app performance metrics, customer analytics, and user testing to drive continuous improvement.
