What We’re Looking For:

Care.com is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to join our CareBenefits team.  The ideal candidate has a customer experience-centric mindset, thrives in a collaborative environment, and can drive growth via incremental improvements as well as large strategic projects. We want someone who isn’t afraid of a challenge and is willing to roll their sleeves up and get things done. 

What You'll Be Working On: 

  • Execute the roadmap: Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through launch, ensuring projects deliver measurable business impact and align with strategic priorities.
  • Designing exceptional experiences: Collaborate with design and engineering to build, test, and refine innovative features that elevate the customer journey and create delight at every touchpoint.
  • Owning product performance: Define and monitor product metrics, using data to evaluate success, identify opportunities, and ensure progress against company OKRs.
  • Shaping the vision: Translate innovative ideas, customer insights, market research, and competitive analysis into a clear product strategy and actionable priorities.
  • Unblocking teams: Write detailed requirements, facilitate technical conversations, and provide quick decision-making to keep projects moving forward.
  • Iterating continuously: Maintain a prioritized backlog of features and enhancements, balancing quick wins with long-term initiatives to maximize impact.
  • Influencing outcomes: Communicate progress, risks, and results effectively across audiences—from development teams to executive leadership.

  • You are the owner of your space. You deeply understand the product, its metrics, client and user needs, and the competitive landscape. You actively use and test the product, always seeking ways to refine and elevate the user experience.
  • You bring ideas to life by driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through launch. You create clear project plans, keep stakeholders aligned, and ensure seamless execution against the roadmap. 
  • Your creativity and thoughtfulness shine through detailed requirements, wireframes, and an ability to anticipate technical implications across backend systems.
  • With strong technical acumen, you confidently lead and contribute to engineering conversations. You balance executing large-scale projects with maintaining a healthy backlog of features and enhancements, keeping your development team engaged and set up for success. You document requirements with clarity, facilitate effective kickoffs, and respond quickly to unblock progress.
  • Your organizational and communication skills ensure timelines are managed, expectations are clear, and updates are consistent. You adapt your message to any audience—from development teams to executive leadership.
  • Above all, you are a leader. You inspire your team, lead by example, exercise sound judgment, and approach every challenge with a solutions-oriented mindset. Continuous improvement is second nature, and delivering the best experience for customers is your ultimate priority.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience: 3+ years in product management, with a proven track record of driving initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Industry background: Experience in a tech company, ideally in a client-focused or marketplace service; B2B2C exposure is a strong plus.
  • Technical collaboration: At least 2 years partnering closely with engineering teams, with the ability to understand technical tradeoffs and contribute meaningfully to solutioning.
  • Product development expertise: Skilled at creating clear product requirements, designing user interfaces, and considering both customer needs and backend systems.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, aligning stakeholders and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messaging across audiences, from developers to executive leadership.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and recommend practical solutions.
  • Mindset: A passion for continuous improvement, a customer-first approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
