Job Overview

This position manages all aspects of a global product line or portfolio in the US region, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing and sales. It is responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales revenue and gross margin targets.

The preferred ideal candidate will reside in the Eastern Portion of the USA.

Job Duties:

Market Sensing & Strategy Development:

  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.
  • Define segment-specific value propositions that beat the competition.
  • Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy.
  • Design goes to market strategy, including channel strategy and partnerships.
  • Work with R&D and operations to develop new products to meet current and future customer requirements.
  • Manage the product lifecycle.

Develop Business Plan:

  • Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap.
  • Work cross-functionally to define sales, technology, and operations strategies and goals aligned with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks.
  • Establish a pricing policy.
  • Develop the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin).

Execution - New Product Development & Launch:

  • Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects.
  • Planned product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans.
  • Provides demand forecast inputs to S&OP.
  • Attend customer meetings to support winning new business.
  • Exercise through leadership.
  • Provide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerce.

Execution - Post-Launch Product Management:

  • Manage the assigned portfolio's P&L (sales and gross or standard margin).
  • Deliver sustained profitable growth.
  • Enable sales to promote the product line via training and developing collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.
  • Manage special price requests.
  • Track progress to the business plan and facilitate the resolution of gaps.
  • Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.).

Key Success Factors

Meet AOP targets on the following KPIs:

  • Sales Revenue
  • Gross Margin $ and GM %
  • Manage NPI new product introductions on time and within budget
  • Cost reduction targets
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Inventory turns
  • Delivery (STR)
  • Customer Complaints

What your background should look like:

Experience required:

  • 3+ years above duct management or sales/field application experience
  • Strong relevant products (connector) or industry experience desired
  • Strong commercial and technical skills background
  • Highly engaged team members, capabilities of dealing with challenges
  • A bachelor's or above in electronics background is preferred

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $125,600 - $188,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
