Job Description
Doka is currently looking for a dynamic Product Manager – Innovation Hub Asia to lead the development of our product portfolio in the Innovation Hub Asia, driving its deployment and lifecycle across multiple markets in collaboration with local and regional teams. Reporting to the Head of Innovation Hub Asia, this position plays a key role in shaping the future of Doka’s product offerings by setting strategic direction and managing the product roadmap to align with the company’s goals.
You will be responsible for:
- Mastering the Product Portfolio: Develop a deep understanding of the product portfolio and its related applications, including technical details, application fit, and value propositions, to effectively position and drive products across markets.
- Leveraging the Portfolio for Growth: Actively use and showcase the portfolio to drive business performance and support growth initiatives in various regions.
- Market Insight & Competitive Analysis: Gain a thorough understanding of the local market landscape, competitive dynamics, and Doka’s positioning, identifying key differentiators and their relevance to customers in driving business success.
- Customer Engagement & Needs Analysis: Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external customers, identifying both met and unmet needs. Regularly engage with customers and job sites to gain a grounded understanding of applications and business requirements.
- Commercial Ownership & Value Creation: Exhibit a commercial mindset with full ownership of the portfolio, driving sustainable value creation by proactively taking action and ensuring timely follow-up to achieve impactful results.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze commercial and financial data to make informed, fact-based decisions that optimize portfolio performance and guide business strategy.
- Creative Product Development: Use creativity to translate customer needs into clear hardware, software, and service requirements. Drive product differentiation while balancing trade-offs and focusing on the most important priorities.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with relevant functions within the business unit, hubs, and markets to balance innovation, feasibility, and customer value with cost efficiency and operational effectiveness in collaboration with development, supply, and quality teams.
- Portfolio Promotion & Communication: Promote the product portfolio both internally and externally, clearly communicating its value and strategic direction to key stakeholders and ensuring alignment across teams.
- Product Management Expertise: Master product management tools, processes, and systems (e.g., PDP, SAP) to streamline workflows, support effective decision-making, and ensure the efficient execution of product strategies.
Qualifications
We are looking for a detailed and results-oriented individual with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and a strong focus on achieving impactful outcomes. In addition, we seek the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or related disciplines
- Specialized training or certifications in product management or construction technology (formwork systems) is advantageous
- Minimum five years of professional experience in product management or a similar role, preferably in the construction, formwork, or building materials industry
- Proven experience in developing and managing a product portfolio, ideally in a technical or industrial context
- Solid track record of successfully leading product lifecycle management, from ideation through deployment and market adoption
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional team environment, particularly in Asia Pacific or similar regional markets
- Experience with data-driven decision-making, including the ability to analyse commercial and financial data to guide portfolio strategy
