Job Summary:

This Product Management role is responsible for the strategic direction, commercial performance, and lifecycle management of a defined portfolio of industrial products and supplier partners across Australia and New Zealand, including our DataTaker data acquisition business. The role focuses on market analysis, supplier engagement, portfolio optimisation, and the development of tools and programs that drive sustainable growth.

This position serves as the central point of coordination between supplier partners and Thermo Fisher’s commercial, marketing, and operational teams. The Product Manager ensures the portfolio is competitively positioned, well supported, and aligned with customer needs and corporate objectives.

The role actively develops strategic customer relationships relevant to the portfolio, to drive new business and share gain opportunities, including spending approx. 15-20% of time in field.

Requirements:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Prior Product Management or Management experience and domain expertise within the Industrial or Environmental market.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent execution, revenue growth, and performance in a commercial role.
  • Project lifecycle management experience preferred, from concept to delivery. Familiarity with APAC and global markets is an advantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market insights into actionable plans, including leveraging AI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple initiatives in dynamic settings, ensuring disciplined execution against strategic growth objectives.
  • Collaborative and a positive contributor, able to operate in a fast paced environment.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Results-oriented, motivated and driven to achieve success.
