About the role:
FIS is looking for a Senior Product Manager to build out our digital banking capabilities and experiences. The candidate will create the vision, roadmap and prioritization of what we take to market, how solutions can be applied across multiple entry points to the ecosystem, and drive execution towards those goals, while working collaboratively across a large matrixed organization.

This person will need to understand the application of modern digital banking solutions, the financial services delivered across those channels and how to express that internally and to our many clients. This person will partner closely with engineering, design, clients and end-users to ideate solutions and deliver them into production. There are opportunities to flex product management skills in both business and consumer digital experiences across web and mobile channels as well as across the digital banking payments domains. FIS is modernizing our digital solutions which gives the candidate a chance to build amazing banking experiences in cloud native features from modern API microservices and to be at the forefront of delivering FIS solutions to our hundreds of banking clients and their end-users.
 

About the team:

The Senior Product Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Product Management. The role will be integral to realizing our vision by working across FIS, our partners, our hundreds of clients, and millions of end users. 
What you will be doing:

  • Plans the key aspects of your digital banking solution strategy.

    • Understands the market trends and competitive environment, as well as the needs of banking clients and their customers.

    • Demonstrates leadership through the establishment and articulation of a clear vision and how that translates to objectives and key results.

    • Owns the product roadmap for your solutions. Shares and presents these roadmaps across a broad set of stakeholders.

  • Executes on the strategy.

    • Determines priorities across the development cycle.

    • Builds and drives the adoption of product requirement documents for your responsible solutions. This includes identifying risks and challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, and turning those into actionable work.

  • Collaborates with partners and clients

    • Drives close connection with partner teams and stakeholders to create true interlock on product plans and timelines.

    • Manages product expectations and team direction in the annual planning process and the regular budgeting process.

    • Engages and interacts with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups and requirements gathering sessions. Practices open and honest communications with clients.

    • Manages vendor relationships key to product delivery and collaborates with vendor support managers for oversight and maintenance of all secondary and support vendor relationships.

  • Acts as a thought leader.

    • Collaborates with senior management to provide content for market messages, sales collateral and as needed RFPs (request for proposal).

    • Presents product information and industry thought leadership to external audiences in webinars and client conferences.

    • Provides presentations to clients during business reviews, prospect briefings and internal group meetings.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant product management experience or equivalent experience within the banking or financial services industry.

  • Knowledge of financial services industry and associated products

  • Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence

  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills; verbal, written and via slide presentation

  • Client relationship management skills, understanding and focusing on clients’ needs, establishing credibility and building positive, professional, relationships with clients

  • Strong people management and analytical, problem-solving skills

  • Natural leadership skills built out of sound decision-making and trust

  • A positive approach that exhibits respectfulness of others, willingness to take accountability, and a strong tendency towards teamwork and transparency
