Owns the provider management product lifecycle from strategy and requirements through technology delivery. Develops roadmaps, prioritizes backlogs, defines features, manages technical debt, and aligns business and technical stakeholders. Maintains product metrics, ROI business cases, and compliance requirements while incorporating user research, analytics, competitive analysis, and market insights. Partners with engineering, operations, growth, technology, compliance, and product leadership to deliver prioritized capabilities and business outcomes.

This job is responsible for directing and overseeing all stages of the product life cycle, which include product strategy, product development, and product marketing. Assigned products may require development as new products or enhancement for existing products. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for shepherding desired business outcomes from concept through technology delivery by shaping both business and technical requirements, understanding competitive information, and translating to roadmaps and deliverables.
  • Drives portfolio strategy and the development and implementation of technology across different Operations, Growth, and Technology stakeholders. Leads the effort to identify and promote best practices within the product.
  • Deeply understands customers, technology, and competition, and synthesizes into the operational product roadmaps driving business outcomes through technology enablement and innovation.
  • Develops and communicates product priorities across the company by collaboration and building consensus.
  • Creates and maintains operational and functional metrics; maintains financial business case and ROI. Partners with compliance to ensure compliance requirements are well articulated at the feature level.
  • Participates in design reviews, user research, and demos.
  • Grooms and prioritizes the backlog-- feature backlog. Partners with the Product Director to create Features for the prioritized Themes/Epics.
  • Takes ownership of defining and managing technical debt within product roadmaps, business cases and support backlogs.
  • Represents voice of the business when determining Sprint priorities for the teams. Integrates user research studies, analytics, and market analysis into product requirements.
  • Identifies new features and capabilities that support the roadmap and work with the various stakeholders for validation of use cases.

  • Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of education or degree

  • • 5+ years of experience in a product management function. • Experience working in the health care industry is a plus. • Knowledge of Agile software development framework, architecture concepts, and terminology. • BA/BS, master’s degree preferred. • Experience and/or accreditation in Scaled Agile a plus. • Require IT product management experience • Prefer people management experience

  • Base Pay Information
    The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
