SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Product Manager II will lead the strategic and tactical marketing efforts for the Guidewires and Catheters portfolio. This role is responsible for end to end product lifecycle management, market and clinical insights, cross functional collaboration, and commercial execution. The Product Manager will play a critical role in driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence across a diverse portfolio including diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, microcatheters, guidewires, and related access and delivery systems used in interventional and vascular procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage product lifecycle from concept and development through launch, optimization, and obsolescence.

  • Own product forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin optimization across guidewire and catheter platforms.

  • Monitor portfolio performance, identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and share gains.

  • Develop business cases and recommendations for product enhancements, line extensions, and next‑generation platforms.

  • Align MDR requirements and timelines with lifecycle decisions, product strategy, and commercial strategy.

  • Lead cross‑functional teams to address unmet clinical needs, procedural challenges, and competitive gaps not addressed by existing products.

Market Research & Clinical Insights

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research to identify procedural trends, physician needs, and competitive dynamics within interventional and vascular markets.

  • Translate customer and clinical insights into actionable product and portfolio strategies.

  • Coordinate market research activities, including VOC, advisory boards, and post‑launch product performance assessments.

  • Evaluate new product opportunities through competitive benchmarking, market sizing, and clinical workflow analysis.

  • Gather real‑world product performance insights through procedure observations, lab evaluations, physician interviews, surveys, and direct field engagement.

Product Launch & Go‑to‑Market Execution

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for new and existing guidewire and catheter products.

  • Lead product launches including value proposition development, positioning, messaging, and commercialization strategies.

  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure launch readiness across supply, regulatory, clinical, and sales.

  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral including brochures, clinical summaries, competitive tools, and sales forecasts.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Work directly with physicians, clinicians, and key opinion leaders to identify unmet needs and inform product development priorities.

  • Partner with Sales and Manufacturing to support customized solutions, kit configurations, and regional market needs where applicable.

Customer & Field Support

  • Serve as the voice of the customer throughout product development, commercialization, and lifecycle management.

  • Provide expert product and procedural support to commercial marketing, field teams, distributors, and key customers.

  • Support competitive positioning and objection handling through deep understanding of clinical use, performance attributes, and differentiation.

Sales Enablement & Training

  • Develop sales enablement tools, training programs, and promotional content specific to guidewire and catheter technologies.

  • Train commercial marketing, sales, clinical, and engineering teams on product features, clinical applications, procedural workflows, and competitive differentiation.

  • Support national and regional sales meetings, customer training events, and physician education programs as needed.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or MS preferred).
•    2–3 years of product management, preferably within medical devices, interventional, vascular, or catheter based technologies.
•    Preferred: Experience or familiarity with guidewires, catheters, microcatheters, or access/delivery systems.
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret clinical and market data.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
•    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to lead cross functional initiatives.
•    Proficient computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and presentation software.
•    Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver professional written and oral communications.
•    Demonstrated market research capabilities with the ability to synthesize and report findings accurately.
•    Other duties as assigned by manager.
