We are currently looking for a Product Manager GI Liquid EMEA to join us at any of our facilities in either Austria or Germany.
In this role, you will drive the strategic development and lifecycle management of the product portfolio across the EMEA region. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives, optimize profitability, and enhance operational excellence. The position plays a key role in aligning regional activities with global business strategies while ensuring effective portfolio governance and execution.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the development of strategic product management plans aligned with global strategies.
- Guide key product management initiatives for growth through effective portfolio management.
Regional Support and Coordination:
- Provide support to regional teams in gatekeeper process management, competitive benchmarking, product launches, and communication.
- Act as a key coordinator for multi-functional actions, ensuring alignment with product line direction.
Platform Lifecycle Management:
- Drive regional platform lifecycle management to optimize growth, streamline operations, and minimize waste.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, technology development, commercial teams, and communications.
Operational Excellence Initiatives:
- Lead regional initiatives for operational excellence, focusing on reducing fixed costs and driving productivity.
- Address long tail management, product complexity reduction, batch size optimization, business rules, and capital projects.
Competitive Analysis and Profit Optimization:
- Assess and analyze the competitiveness of our product offerings in the market.
- Implement strategies to achieve profit optimization and improvement targets, enhancing profit margins.
Inventory Management and Forecasting:
- Ensure accurate forecasting of new product requirements and manage the obsolescence of retiring products.
- Collaborate with regional contacts and supply chain to address and transition inventory appropriately.
Quality Assurance and Governance:
- Audit and maintain the quality of offerings across all regions within EMEA.
- Ensure governance of product line master data to uphold data integrity
Leadership
- Lead and prioritization of tasks within department and project partners
- Lead and drive projects to execution
Key requirements:
Availability to travel 10-20% of your time across EMEA
Full valid driving license
Highly fluent in English
Project Management experience for at least 2 years
Advance level of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Power Point and Excel
Knowledge of SAP is highly advantageous
Strong communication skills
Familiar with ISO standards, ideally ISO 9001
Successfully finished education in chemistry or marketing or project management
Knowledge of liquid coatings technology and industry.
