Role overview:

The role will have accountability for product managing the Group’s range of our Gateway solutions. The role will work closely alongside Product, Commercial, Financial and Technical colleagues. The role holder will be accountable for the Gateway product roadmap and be a subject matter expert on all aspects of our Gateway Solutions, including our payment application, and the associated software deployed.

It will be a requirement that the individual’s market knowledge be kept up to date through attendance to industry events, awareness of market trends and through frequent analysis of competitors.

What you'll do:

• Have a deep understanding of our Gateway Solutions architecture, functionalities, and parameters/configuration.

• Work with key stakeholders to identify and define the Gateway Solutions product roadmap.

• Manage the product lifecycle and the implementation of product enhancements via structured release cycles.

• Define the core Gateway Solutions proposition across market segments and geographies.

• Be the go-to product expert on Gateway Solutions across the business – both hardware /software / configuration related. Be the bridge between sales and technical, operational & financial teams to ensure an efficient product lifecycle process.

• Lead analysis and investigation of issues and topics arising from support (L3), scheme compliance, customer/sales queries etc. Consult with relevant teams to go beyond initial answer and coordinate comprehensive responses and recommendations.

• Play an active role with commercial teams e.g. assist the presentation and selling of Gateway Solutions.

• Work alongside technical and relevant project teams on technical documentation and delivery items as well as the pipeline of related Gateway Solutions product feature/functionality improvements.

• Where required assist in training and upskilling the product knowledge of relevant colleagues in the group through insightful product presentations.

• Work closely with Marketing team in ensuring the product features are accurately reflected in first class product collateral and relevant market campaigns.

• Maintain excellent working knowledge and insight of the Payment Gateway ecosystem – including suppliers, partners, markets and competitors.

Who you are:

• Business/financial/technical/marketing university degree or equivalent would be valued.

• At least four years of Payment Gateway product manager experience or similar/equivalent.

• Payment market and technology experience preferably in customer present card payments.

• Ability to take business requirement and translate them into detailed product specifications or enhancements.

• Experience of product lifecycle, managing release cycles and backlog.

• Analytical approach to complex problems, generating pragmatic solutions with consensus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers, business and technical team members across the organization.

• Strong interpersonal skills and an effective communication style.

• Ability to effectively communicate and work in a distributed environment with colleagues located in different geographical regions across various levels of departments and organizations to facilitate meetings with business and technical audience.

• Detail oriented planner with ability to manage workload, capacity and prioritization with a structured approach.

• Pro-active and organized to function well and meet deadlines in a high-paced environment.
