As a Product Manager within Fusion Data Management, you will be tasked with generating innovative ideas, leading strategic initiatives, and collaborating with various business lines. Your responsibilities will include promoting product development, delivering value to our clients, and acting as a representative for Fusion's Data Management Solutions. This role demands a robust understanding of business and technology strategy in the financial and market data sector, complemented by exceptional relationship and interpersonal skills. Your proficiency in transforming feedback into actionable insights, prioritizing tasks, and working cross-functionally will be instrumental to your success in this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects the product development process, including but not limited to defining product requirements, overseeing implementation, ensuring product adoption, continuous product expansion and demonstrating advocacy for specific product and solutions across private assets, loans and pricing data
- Contribute meaningfully to the analysis, design, quality control, and documentation for private assets, loans and pricing data
- Serve as a key leader in production ideation, management, requirements gathering, vendor engagement and roadmap execution
- Document and maintain clear product requirements that will act as a guide for business and technical teams to build, launch and market products
- Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple lines of business (Sales, Client Solutions, Engineering, Product, Data Science)
- Serve as a trusted advisor for Sales and Client Solution teams to lean on and establish long-term partnerships
- Identify expansion opportunities through market research and customer interactions to develop strategies that align with business objectives
- Monitor industry trends and competitor landscape
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- At least 8+ years of business and technology strategy experience in the financial and market data space
- Demonstrate strong relationship and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with senior business and technology executives
- Familiarity with technical concepts, data models and a strong passion for product development
- Organize, prioritize and escalate critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making; establish priorities, and provide oversight and guidance to team of those priorities
- Ability to distill widely variant feedback into root cause issues and provide actionable feedback to other stakeholders
- Excellent business presentation, writing and verbal communication skills
- Proven expertise in leading strategic product initiatives
- Strong facilitation, process and influencing skills
- Functional knowledge of common programming languages (such as Python or R) and database languages (such as SQL)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Math, Engineering or related field
- Experience applying data analysis to solve business problems in fast-moving environment
- Prior experience with data management offerings, focusing on Private Markets, Loans, OTCs preferred
- Understanding of needs and obligations specific to Asset Owners and Asset Managers
