Role and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As a Product Manager, Insights & Instrumentation at Samsung TV Plus, you will be the driving force behind how we measure, understand, and optimize user engagement across our product. This role owns the strategy and execution of experimentation, instrumentation, and product-led insights, ensuring data is not only collected but translated into meaningful action. You will collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Business teams to establish a rigorous, insight-driven product practice that advances engagement, retention, and content discoverability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end experimentation program for TV Plus, including test design, implementation, analysis, and iteration across surfaces like Home, Search, EPG, and Playback.
  • Own the instrumentation strategy to ensure comprehensive visibility into the user journey, identifying and addressing gaps in behavioral data collection.
  • Partner with Data Science to define and evolve engagement KPIs, ensuring product teams have trusted, actionable metrics.
  • Surface insights that drive product decisions by identifying behavioral trends, validating hypotheses, and uncovering new opportunities through structured analysis.
  • Reduce ad-hoc analytics dependency by advocating for scalable, product-led instrumentation and fostering adoption of self-serve reporting tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to ensure insights translate into prioritized product actions.
  • Evangelize a culture of data-driven decision-making across the TV Plus organization.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to executive leadership with clarity and strategic impact.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong focus on data instrumentation, experimentation, or analytics-driven product development.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing A/B tests and leveraging insights to drive measurable product improvements.
  • Strong fluency with data visualization, KPI development, and behavioral analytics.
  • Experience collaborating with Data Science and Engineering teams on instrumentation and experimentation efforts.
  • Deep understanding of streaming platforms, content discovery, and engagement metrics is a strong plus.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable product recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and takes ownership of outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; technical or quantitative fields preferred. Advanced degrees (MBA, MS) are a plus.
    Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA, is expected to be between $130,000 ~ $160,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
