Position Overview:Reporting to the Director, Exchange Supply & Operational Planning, the Product Manager I, Exchange Supply is responsible for the strategic growth, commercialization, profitability, and lifecycle management of the Finning Exchange portfolio.
This role acts as the business owner for Exchange product offerings across Construction Industries (CI), Resource Industries (RI), Energy & Transportation (E&T), and Emerging Mining applications. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain, OEM Rebuild Operations, Technical Services, Caterpillar, and customer-facing teams to identify and support growth opportunities, optimize portfolio performance, improve competitiveness, and develop new Exchange offerings.
The Product Manager will lead pricing strategy, product introductions, product changes, exchange commercialization initiatives, customer RFP support, and portfolio expansion efforts. The position plays a critical role in supporting Finning's long-term Exchange growth strategy and increasing customer adoption of Exchange solutions.

Job Description:
  • Manage product lifecycle activities including new product introductions, product changes, portfolio expansion, and product rationalization.
  • Support execution of growth strategies for the Finning Exchange portfolio. 
  • Own portfolio pricing strategy, profitability reviews, and commercialization initiatives to improve market competitiveness and drive revenue growth. 
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Technical Services to identify and execute strategic growth opportunities. 
  • Support customer opportunities, RFPs, and business cases through market analysis, pricing recommendations, and product expertise. 
  • Collaborate with Caterpillar and internal stakeholders to influence product strategies, secure support for growth initiatives, and improve customer outcomes. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise and training on Exchange products, programs, pricing, and value propositions. 
  • Monitor portfolio performance, market trends, and customer demand to develop recommendations that improve sales, profitability, and market share.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, sales, marketing, supply chain, technical services, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, cost modelling, business case development, and profitability analysis.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution.
  • Experience presenting business recommendations to leadership teams.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar products, aftermarket solutions, exchange programs, remanufacturing, or heavy equipment industries is considered an asset.
