The Role

As a Product Manager, Emerging Technologies Enablement at CME Group, you’ll join our Platform Engineering team, a forward-thinking group that empowers the entire enterprise with cutting-edge technology. What You’ll Do
  • Architect the Future: Define and execute the product strategy for our emerging technologies platform, translating visionary ideas for Generative AI and Blockchain into a clear, actionable roadmap.

  • Be the Catalyst: Deeply understand the needs of our internal teams, identifying and championing opportunities to apply new technologies to solve complex business challenges across the organization.

  • Lead the Charge: Own the entire product development lifecycle, guiding products from initial ideation and discovery through to launch and continuous iteration.

  • Connect the Dots: Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and other product teams to build a robust, scalable platform that serves as the foundation for innovation.

  • Prioritize with Precision: Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and make data-driven decisions that ensure we are always building the right solutions for maximum impact.

  • Inspire and Evangelize: Champion the adoption of these technologies across the enterprise through effective communication, training, and strategic influence.

What You’ll Bring
  • Proven Expertise: 10+ years of industry experience as a Product Manager, preferably within financial services or capital markets.

  • Technical Acumen: A deep understanding of emerging technologies like Generative AI and/or Blockchain, with a track record of building and launching platform products or internal-facing tools.

  • Strategic Vision: An analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform product decisions and a passion for staying on the leading edge of technology.

  • Influential Leadership: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems, or 10+ years of relevant work experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or an MBA is a plus.

  • Advanced Skills (Preferred): Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and their AI/Blockchain services, as well as experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Gen AI frameworks. Relevant certifications like Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are a plus.

The pay ranges for this role based on location are: Chicago: $141,800-$236,300 New York/New Jersey: $155,900-$259,900. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant). Our compensation program also includes an annual target bonus opportunity for all employees, as well as the opportunity to become an owner in the company through our broad-based equity program.
