Kaluza is the Energy Intelligence Platform, turning energy complexity into seamless coordination. We help energy companies overcome today's challenges while accelerating the shift to a clean, electrified future. Leveraging Data, AI, and real-time decision-making we turn energy complexity into growth opportunities for our partners.
By combining predictive algorithms with human-centred design, Kaluza makes clean energy dependable and affordable.
With teams across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, and a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan, we power leading companies including OVO, AGL and ENGIE, as well as innovators like Volvo and Volkswagen.
You'll lead the French localisation of Device Data Management — one of the core product areas within the Kaluza platform that brings together data on supplies, meters, registers, reads and consumption. This area also covers the journeys around managing this data (like updating a meter's configuration), the APIs that expose it, the frontend pages that surface it to users, and the calculations behind consumption projection and forecasting. This is a hands-on, full-stack product role — you'll work across the whole product area, from the data model through to what users see on screen.
- Translate French market requirements into clear specifications — turn the rules of the French energy market (including how device and meter data flows between grid operators and suppliers) into detailed product requirements covering compliance, data flows and data quality.
- Build close working relationships — work hand in hand with key partners in the French market to understand their needs, shape requirements together, and build the kind of trusted relationship where they come to you first, using that closeness to steer what we build next for France.
- Build, don't just specify. Go from idea to working prototype yourself — query data, sketch API contracts, and stand up proofs of concept. We expect you to use AI tooling (e.g. Claude Code) as a daily multiplier to prototype, investigate, and unblock, not just to draft documents.
- Align global and local teams across all functions — partner closely with engineering, UX, QA and more, with full-stack influence, keeping everyone pointed at the right outcomes. Be the go-to person for this product area in France, and act as the link between our global and local teams to inform priorities and strategy.
Ideally you'll have/be:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or equivalent role in software companies, with a strong track record of successfully localising complex software products for international markets
- Previous experience in the French energy industry — you know how the market works and its key players (e.g. Enedis / GRDF), especially around device data and market flows. Experience with energy management or utility platforms in the French market is a strong plus.
- Fluent in French and very comfortable in English — our platform and many of our teams operate in English, so you move easily between both.
- Confident working directly with clients — you can run a working session with client stakeholders, draw out the real requirement behind the ask, and keep senior people aligned and brought in.
- A builder's mentality — resourceful and hands-on, comfortable building a working prototype rather than waiting for the perfect specification.
- Technically comfortable — at ease with data and data models, databases, and APIs, and able to prototype with modern AI tooling. You don't need to be an engineer, but you think like one and can hold your own in a technical conversation. Equally happy reasoning about a data model and about what the end user sees on screen.
- A clear, sharp communicator — able to cut through noise and articulate technical and market complexity to a range of stakeholders, including clients.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams — engineering, QA, BA, Programme, Delivery etc — to deliver localised solutions.
- Proficiency in AI tools throughout all stages of the product lifecycle — from discovery and ideation to delivery and iteration.
