Product Manager - Crypto, Custody & Payments

GoTymeX is the engineering, product, and design organisation that builds the digital products powering the GoTyme Group. Our product culture is customer-first, data-driven with an emphasis on end-to-end ownership of the customer experience and its success.

We are establishing a new portfolio which will leverage blockchain and digital asset technology to deliver a new customer experience to customers in expansion markets. The business line will operate with the speed of a startup, but with the regulatory and operational substance of a bank and the resources of a multi-country group in support.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join the team as we take this from zero to one. As one of the first product hires in the team, you will sit at the intersection of crypto and retail banking — translating a regulated bank-grade proposition into crypto-native product mechanics, and translating digital-asset infrastructure into experiences that feel as simple as a banking app to a mass-market customer.

The role is hands-on. You will own the backlog, write the user stories, run the sprint cadence, drive the vendor integrations, and be accountable for what ships. The successful candidate is someone who has shipped retail banking products at the quality bar regulators demand, and they have shipped on-chain products.

• Own the product backlog end-to-end: translate the proposition into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritise against time-to-market, regulatory constraint and customer value.
• Translate between crypto and retail banking. Convert stablecoin and digital-asset mechanics (multi-chain support, gas handling, custody, screening & Travel Rule, on-chain settlement, CeFi & DeFi offerings) into product experiences a non-crypto customer can use. Equally, translate retail banking expectations (KYC step-up, dispute handling, regulatory reporting, AML monitoring, ledgering) into requirements our crypto-native infrastructure partners can build against.
• Drive vendor integration. You will own the product-side relationship with partners — treating each partner as part of the user experience rather than a black box behind it.
• A global-by-design mindset, the ability to make product, technical, and compliance decisions with multi-jurisdiction scalability baked in from day one, avoiding local-first shortcuts that create rework, regulatory exposure, or architectural debt as the product expands across markets.
• Establish an AI-native product practice with modern tooling as the default.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Legal, Marketing and the existing GoTyme product organisations to deliver a coherent, regulated proposition across multiple jurisdictions.

Must-have

• 8+ years of product experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with demonstrable end-to-end ownership of consumer-facing products that shipped to production and scaled post-launch to drive revenue.
• Financial services and crypto experience. You have shipped regulated products, and you have shipped on-chain products.
• Domain expertise in digital asset custody infrastructure and ledger technologies.
• Hands-on agile product discipline: clear user stories, crisp acceptance criteria, relentless prioritisation, and fluency in Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
• Multi-vendor orchestration experience, including API-first integration approaches, vendor roadmap and SLA management, and a credible voice in commercial discussions.
• Technical literacy across the stack. You can review API docs, sketch a sequence diagram, and engage teams with domain expertise across a range of product concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and synthesize emerging trends across cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech landscapes, with a track record of translating market developments into actionable business insights.
• Experience operating inside regulated fintechs across multiple jurisdictions; comfort working with compliance, risk, and regulators.
• An AI-native operating mode. You use AI tooling as a default, you have shipped with it, and you have an opinion on how it changes product workflow and delivery cadence.
• A 'build like a founder' approach; start-up or scale-up experience, hands-on with the product, comfortable with ambiguity, and biased to ship.
• Proactive self-starter who consistently surfaces original ideas and strategic recommendations, rather than waiting for direction, bringing solutions, not just execution.

Strong plus

• An end-to-end licensed-fintech production on your CV — you have shipped a regulated digital-asset or e-money product live to retail customers.
• Hands-on production experience across one or more of wallet and payment infrastructure, blockchain and distributed-ledger technologies, core banking platforms and ledger management, identity, fraud and risk systems including AML and travel rule tooling.
• Remittance or cross-border payments product experience — you have built or operated a corridor and understand the unit economics and operational realities of moving money across borders.
• Experience as one of the founding product hires on a new product or business line.
• Hands-on experience designing or enabling crypto-native financial products such as staking mechanisms or lending facilities, including exposure to stablecoin-based yield and liquidity structures, with a understanding of treasury liquidity management and yield generation strategies in a digital asset context.
