OVERALL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDoes (The tasks / responsibilities that the role performs to address requirements in Key Result Areas)
  • Product Strategy & Usage Growth:

    • Define the product strategy and roadmap specifically aimed at boosting card transaction volume and product stickiness (DAU/MAU ratio) among target segments (e.g., Mass Affluent).

    • Own the card's P&L by optimizing revenue streams (e.g., interchange, scheme rewards).

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify usage gaps, payment pain points, and new feature opportunities that increase share of wallet.

    • Work with internal growth partners to design, implement, and track A/B tests and in-app campaigns to improve feature adoption and optimize the card's active rate.

    • Regularly analyze user feedback and behavioral analytics to inform product prioritization and ensure solutions meet customer needs.

  • Scheme Relationship Management & Value Optimization:

    • Serve as the dedicated product partner liaison with major debit card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), focusing on maximizing financial incentive programs and usage benefits.

    • Identify, evaluate, and drive the integration of new scheme-specific rewards, loyalty programs, and co-branding opportunities that can increase customer loyalty and spend.

    • Ensure regular and timely scheme compliance (financial, regulatory, etc.)

    • Ensure timely adaptation to and leveraging of scheme network solutions for promotional opportunities and payment infrastructure enhancements.

  • Cross-functional Execution & Go-to-Market (GTM):

    • Lead the go-to-market strategy for all card features and reward programs, collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Customer Support.

Necessary Skill Sets:

  • Product Management Experience: Proven experience (3-5 years) in Product Management, ideally in FinTech, Payments, or Banking, with a focus on debit/credit card P&L and growth.

  • Cards & Payments Expertise: Deep knowledge of full payment transaction lifecycle (authorization, settlement, interchange) and card product economics.

  • Card Scheme Acumen: Strong working knowledge of major card scheme (Visa/Mastercard) rules, reward mechanics, and partnership models.

  • Data & Analytical Rigor: Exceptional ability to deeply analyze usage data (LTV, CAC, churn rate), derive insights, and make data-driven decisions. 

  • Negotiation & Communication: Excellent skills in negotiation, persuasive communication, and building strong relationships with both internal and external partners.

  • Agile & Prioritization: Proficiency in Agile environments and the ability to ruthlessly prioritize features based on business value and user needs.

Advantageous Skill Sets:

  • Direct experience with loyalty, rewards, or co-branded card programs.

  • Familiarity with BNPL/Credit products to drive cross-product usage.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated banking or Electronic Money Issuer (EMI) environment.

  • SQL proficiency

  • Usage & Engagement: Growth in Monthly Active Users (MAU) and the frequency of usage (e.g., transactions per user/month).

  • Profitability: Improvement in the card's Net Margin and Return on Investment (ROI) from scheme-funded rewards.

  • Scheme Value: Timely launch and uptake of new scheme-supported product features and rewards, measured by feature adoption rate. Regular adherence to scheme compliance.

  • Customer Value: Improvement in the Net Promoter Score (NPS) or Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) related to card benefits and rewards.On-time and on-spec delivery of new usage-driving features and rewards campaigns.
