JOB TITLE: 130550 Product Manager - BTB Payments Product
ROLE TYPE: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract or Internal Secondment
LOCATIONS: Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh or London
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About This Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Domestic Payments Product Team within Business Transaction Banking (BTB) as a Product Manager. BTB provides a diverse range of products and services both domestically and internationally to BCB customers. The team is responsible for Product Management, Governance, Commercialisation and Pricing & Performance, playing a crucial role in meeting evolving client needs and supporting our group purpose of Helping Britain Prosper.
In this role, you'll own and execute the Cash & Cheque strategy to shape the future physical payments proposition in an evolving landscape, ensuring the successful financial performance of the product set.
Key Accountabilities:

Lead change activity: Oversee product launches, pilots, withdrawals and enhancements, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

Define future vision and roadmap: Develop and implement strategic plans for physical payments, aligning with client and business needs.

Provide product expertise: Ensure governance, collateral, pricing, infrastructure and support are in place for product success.

Champion product and client needs: Identify and scope requirements for development, including funding and marketing.

Ownership of change: Drive initiatives that deliver Payments Strategy, optimise client experience and minimise impact on BCB P&L.

Interlock with partners: Collaborate with various bank teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.

What You'll Need

Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of Cash and Cheque products and supporting operational processes is critical. This includes knowledge of the product lifecycle, regulatory requirements and the ability to lead product performance.

Large Scale Change: Experience in delivering customer-focused, innovative change across a large organisation and complex partner matrix. The ability to deliver both business and client value drivers to meet critical metrics and SLAs across performance and budget.

Delivery Track Record: A robust history of delivery in a banking service provision environment, demonstrating a clear focus on meeting agreed business targets, priorities and objectives. Including experience in commercialising investment projects and driving business growth.

Communication: An effective communicator with the ability and confidence to communicate complex topics.

Influencing: Validated ability to influence across leadership teams as appropriate, to persuade and negotiate with senior leaders and stakeholders.

Self-motivation and Initiative: Ability to lead others to deliver on initiatives, work at pace and handle conflicting priorities.
