What will I be doing?

You'll be in charge of the French localisation of Billing — one of the core product domains within the Kaluza platform, responsible for taking a customer from meter read to bill. Billing consumes consumption, pricing and account data to calculate, schedule and generate accurate invoices, manages payment plans and billing cycles, handles corrections and annual settlement, and produces the data that feeds invoices, payment schedules and downstream financial reporting.

This is a hands-on, full-stack product role — you'll work across the whole domain, from the calculation engine and data model through to the APIs that expose billing data and the journeys customers and agents see on screen.

  • Deep dive into French energy market regulations, translating complex compliance needs into detailed product specifications for the billing system.
  • Collaborate intensely with clients and in-country experts to understand their unique needs and requirements.
  • Define and manage detailed product requirements for features related to country-specific needs from getting a read to generating a bill (meter reading protocols, invoice formats,
  • taxation rules, payment methods, and regulatory reporting)
  • Work closely with engineering, UX, and QA teams to ensure the successful implementation and testing of localised billing functionalities.
  • Act as the go-to expert for global teams on specific French market nuances related to energy billing and customer journeys.
  • Continuously monitor changes in French energy legislation and market practices, proactively adapting the product roadmap to maintain compliance and competitiveness.
About You
Ideally you'll have/be:
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or equivalent role in software companies, with a strong track record of successfully localising complex software products for international markets
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end energy billing lifecycle for the French market, including meter data, tariffs, invoicing, and debt management.
  • Direct experience with French energy market, understanding of unique regulatory frameworks and requirements
Exceptional ability to translate abstract regulatory text or client requirements into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, operations, client success) to deliver localised solutions.
Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and market complexities to various stakeholders, including clients.
Proficiency in AI tools throughout all stages of the product lifecycle — from discovery and ideation to delivery and iteration.
Fluent in French and English — our platform and many of our teams operate in English, so you move easily between both.
