PlayOn is seeking a Product Manager to lead a cross-functional product pod focused on solving complex B2B challenges. You will deliver solutions that delight our partners and customers while driving company growth. Collaborating with product designers and engineers, you'll craft effective products that align with various business constraints, including marketing, sales, service, finance, legal, and privacy considerations. We follow an Agile process to iteratively drive important business outcomes. Leveraging data insights and market trends, you'll ensure our products succeed in a competitive landscape.

As part of the Product Management Team, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside an extremely passionate and supportive team focused on building market-leading, innovative solutions. Your work will play a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience and driving the success of our B2B platform in the competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development and Strategy: Define and execute product strategies alongside Product Leadership. Lead the product lifecycle for your products from ideation through to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Identify, prioritize, and solve the most impactful customer problems by harnessing insights from stakeholders and data. Translate customer and internal user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and market research.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Enhance the effectiveness of your team by coordinating with design, engineering, and the business. Align all stakeholders around a unified vision, strategy, roadmap, and timeline.
  • Market and User Research: Conduct ongoing market research alongside User Experience Teams to inform product decisions. Stay attuned to the evolving landscape of high school athletics and activities, competitor offerings, and industry best practices.
  • Performance Management: Establish KPIs and monitor product performance. Communicate progress and results to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in an Agile Software development
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and driving projects from conception to completion
  • Strong communication stills, with the ability to translate technical problems to engineers and business value back to the business
  • A passion for solving problems through product discovery, development, and data
  • Self-motivated and dedicated with proven creative, data-driven, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with product-led business is preferred

How You Play

  • Ownership over Participation - You take responsibility for achieving holistic outcomes, prioritize key objectives, and adapt quickly when situations require a different approach. You follow through even against the toughest challenges.

  • Team over Stars - You are a bridge builder, establishing processes and relationships with teams outside your own. You work to rally around common goals, find win-win solutions, compromise when necessary, and help others succeed.

  • Growth over Comfort - You are driven by a desire to grow and actively seek opportunities to expand your comfort zone, skills, and confidence. You embrace new challenges with curiosity, accepting discomfort and failure as opportunities to learn.

  • Fairness over Popularity - You approach decisions with a scientist’s mindset, challenging your assumptions and remaining objective. You consider long-term impact rather than relying on short-term gains, proactively seek others’ perspectives, and manage emotions in decision-making.
