Primary Purpose:
Serves as the business expert for the production of tools and databases. Responsible for collaborating with cross- functional stakeholders to define, develop, execute and manage analytics platform and associated tools and tactics to drive company growth. Works with multiple in-company departments and outside vendors/customers.

Essential Functions:
Manage the product life cycle from development through initial and ongoing tactical deployment.
Define, communicate, and continuously refine data requirements for tool/database to software development team as needed.
Maintain data quality and coordinate maintenance efforts with software development team as needed.
Position the tool/database for future application in related business processes.
Manage the production of tool/database from development through initial and ongoing deployment.
Manage the deployment of current and new technologies to ARUP technology infrastructure in support of tools/databases and any derivative products.
Coordinate IT resources in pursuit of new technology development.
Project manage new technology and consider IT resources required for development, support, and maintenance.
Work with internal stakeholders and outside vendors to create and implement product plans.
Specify market conditions for current and future products by utilizing market research.
Develop and implement a companywide internal or external go-live plan, working with all departments to execute.
Analyze and communicate market opportunities.
Assess current and future market needs. Develop and implement processes and tools designed to match organizational offerings to these needs.
Develop competitive new product strategies to include product capabilities, planning and prioritization of future product features, and develop business plans as needed.
Work jointly with appropriate business development teams on planning and executing tool development to attain usage/adoption goals.
Work closely with appropriate marketing teams to monitor and respond to stakeholder feedback relating to the products and coordinate the resolution of identified problems.
Accountable for product profitability, efficiency, and productivity goals.
Recommend new product ideas to relevant internal groups.
Articulate strong customer value/benefit propositions.

Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Travel: Ability to travel off-site 1%-20% of time.
Qualifications Education Preferred Bachelor's Degree or better. Master's Degree or better. Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Biological Sciences, Medical Technology or related discipline, or five (5) years related work experience Three (3) years of experience with data management systems Three (3) years of experience working with information technology in a healthcare setting Three (3) years of experience in a laboratory or medical diagnostic setting or other related experience Demonstrated ability to define and articulate strong customer value/benefit propositions Demonstrated ability to understand and apply descriptive statistics Demonstrated ability to focus, prioritize, and effectively manage numerous simultaneous projects Preferred Master’s in Information Science, advanced degree in a related field, or equivalent experience Functional programming skills in the following languages: C#, .NET, Java, HTML, SQL (or similar framework) Knowledge or familiarity with building and deploying databases Knowledge or familiarity with connecting data systems Knowledge or familiarity with Tableau or other data-visualization tools Knowledge or familiarity with software development cycles Knowledge or familiarity with UX/UI principles Knowledge or familiarity with machine-learning principles Knowledge or familiarity with marketing/sales/product management principles Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
