About CodeRabbit

CodeRabbit is the leading AI code review platform, trusted by more than 17,000 customers and 150,000 open-source projects, conducting over 2 million code reviews each week. We build the symbiotic partnership between developers and AI that makes shipping fast software safe again, reviewing every pull request, IDE change, and CLI commit so teams can move quickly without breaking things.

We are a fast-moving, well-funded company, fresh off a $143M Series C at a $1.5B valuation — building Agentic Change Management, the control layer for software changes created by humans and agents. As AI writes more of the world's code, the bottleneck moves from implementation to judgment and helping human judgment scale is exactly the problem we exist to solve.

About the role

Product at CodeRabbit sits at the intersection of developer empathy, frontier AI capabilities, and real commercial stakes. As a Product Manager, you will shape how millions of developers experience AI-powered code review across IDEs, Git platforms, the CLI, and the web — surfaces where the playbook hasn't been written yet and the models improve under your feet every quarter.

Our work decides whether CodeRabbit feels like noise or like a trusted teammate: whether a developer acts on a review comment, adopts an agentic workflow, or brings CodeRabbit to their whole organization. You will live close to both the customer and the model — talking to developers weekly, prototyping with AI tools yourself, and translating what's newly possible into products people rely on.

We are hiring across all levels, and we mean it. If you are early in your product career with sharp instincts and a bias for shipping, we will give you real ownership from week one. If you are a seasoned product leader or former founder who has taken products from zero to category-defining scale, we will give you problems worthy of that experience — and room to shape the product organization itself. We will calibrate scope, title, and compensation to you, not the other way around.

What you'll do

Depending on your experience, you will own a surface, a product line, or the roadmap itself. Across levels, the work looks like this:

  • Own problems end-to-end. Drive discovery, definition, and delivery — from customer conversations and data analysis through specs, launch, and iteration — for products developers use every day.

  • Stay close to the customer. Build relationships with the developers and engineering leaders who use CodeRabbit, run feedback loops with our largest customers, and turn what you hear into what we build.

  • Stay close to the model. Understand what frontier models can do today and where they're heading, and design products for the capabilities arriving next — not just the ones already here.

  • Prototype to learn. Use AI tools to build and validate ideas yourself before committing engineering resources. The cheapest way to answer a product question is often to build the answer.

  • Ship fast and measure honestly. Get work in front of users quickly, define what success looks like before launch, and let adoption and retention — not opinions — settle debates.

  • Partner deeply with engineering, design, and go-to-market. Work fluently with technical teams on how things get built, and with sales and marketing on how they land.

  • Bring structure to ambiguity. Much of this space has no precedent. You'll frame the problem, propose the path, and rally the team around it rather than waiting for direction.

  • For senior folks: raise the bar. Define product strategy across surfaces, mentor other PMs, and help build the product culture and team around you.

What we're looking for
  • Sharp product judgment. You form clear points of view from customer conversations, usage data, and your own use of the product — and you change them when the evidence says to. This is the core of the role, at every level.

  • You ship. You would rather get something in front of users this week than perfect it for a month, and you take pride in what happens after launch, not just the launch itself.

  • You're AI-native in how you work. You already use AI tools daily to extend what you can do — prototyping, analyzing, writing — and you have informed opinions about where these tools fall short.

  • You're technical enough to be dangerous. You can go deep with engineers on how something works, read a pull request, and understand why a model behaves the way it does. An engineering background helps but isn't required.

  • You communicate to drive decisions. You write clearly, bring clarity out of complexity, and influence without authority — whether the audience is an engineer, a customer, or the executive team.

  • You're energized by ambiguity. Emerging AI product surfaces have few conventions. You see that as the opportunity, not the obstacle.

You may be a good fit if you have

We care far more about the shape of your experience than its length. You might be a great fit whether you have 2 years of experience or 20:

  • Experience building products for developers or other technical users — as a PM, founder, engineer who moved into product, or in an equivalent role.

  • A track record of shipping: products, features, or prototypes that real users adopted, at whatever scale your role afforded.

  • Evidence of ownership beyond your job description — the project you drove because it needed driving.

  • For senior candidates: experience taking products from 0-to-1 or 1-to-scale, owning outcomes (revenue, adoption, retention) and not just roadmaps, or building and leading product teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience at developer-focused companies (e.g., GitHub, Vercel, Postman, Datadog) or on AI/ML-powered products.

  • A background in or strong understanding of software development and Git workflows.

  • Founder or early-stage operator experience, where you owned commercial outcomes.

  • Experience with product-led growth, platform integrations, or enterprise adoption motions.

What we offer
  • The chance to define the product direction for a category-defining AI product used by millions of developers.

  • Real ownership at every level — juniors get surfaces to own, seniors get strategy to set.

  • A collaborative, high-velocity environment working alongside strong engineers and AI researchers.

  • Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and benefits — calibrated to your level and experience.

  • Professional development and the resources to do the best work of your career.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't match everything above. Strong product people come from unusual paths, and "all levels" means exactly that — if this problem space excites you, we want to hear from you.

Skills Required

  • Sharp product judgment informed by customer conversations, usage data, and product experience
  • Track record of shipping products, features, or prototypes adopted by real users
  • Daily use of AI tools for prototyping, analysis, or writing, with informed opinions about their limitations
  • Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate deeply with engineers, read pull requests, and understand model behavior
  • Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, emerging AI product environments
  • Experience building products for developers or other technical users
  • Evidence of ownership beyond formal job responsibilities
  • For senior candidates, experience taking products from zero to one or one to scale and owning revenue, adoption, or retention outcomes
  • For senior candidates, experience building or leading product teams
  • Experience at a developer-focused company or working on AI or machine learning products
  • Background in or strong understanding of software development and Git workflows
  • Founder or early-stage operator experience with commercial ownership
  • Experience with product-led growth, platform integrations, or enterprise adoption
