Role Overview
The Product Management team at BSP-Alcentra plays an integral role in connecting the firm’s investment expertise with the needs of sales teams and external clients. Acting as a central hub, the team supports a wide range of activities, including preparing and updating high-quality client presentations, responding to investor and sales requests, and ensuring all materials are delivered with accuracy and timeliness. By bridging multiple functions, the team helps ensure that complex investment ideas and strategies are communicated clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
Beyond day-to-day support, the Product Management team is also deeply involved in creating performance reporting and market insights that add value to client relationships. This includes producing detailed monthly and quarterly reports with commentary on market trends, strategy performance, and attribution analysis. The team also conducts peer and market analysis, combining data and narrative to provide sales teams and the wider Franklin Templeton distribution network with the tools they need to engage clients confidently. The role therefore provides significant exposure to BSP-Alcentra’s sub-investment grade credit strategies, offering a unique opportunity to build product expertise alongside practical skills in analysis and communication.
The ideal candidate for this role will hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or Economics and demonstrate a strong interest in asset management, financial services, or credit. They will bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. A process-oriented approach, ability to multitask under tight deadlines, and a collaborative mindset are also essential. This role offers an excellent foundation for building a long-term career in asset management.
Please note that our internships run for a period of 12 months, with the successful candidate expected to start around June 2026.
