What you'll do:

As a Product Management Associate or Assistant Vice President at MUFG in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of banking technology by managing solution architecture across diverse platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve designing secure IT solutions tailored to business needs while developing detailed technical documentation that supports operational excellence. You will review existing systems for performance improvements, conduct thorough assessments on data sources for accurate integration, optimise data flows for efficient reporting, lead complex projects from conception through deployment, facilitate stakeholder engagement for requirement gathering, coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless project delivery, provide essential production support during critical incidents, manage deployments with precision to minimise disruptions, ensure strict compliance with industry standards and security protocols, implement effective risk mitigation strategies, all while upholding enterprise architecture governance.   • Manage and define overall solution architecture as well as data integration and data flow designs across multiple banking platforms to ensure seamless operations.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing IT solutions that align with business goals and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation including standard operating procedures, design documents, and user manuals to support system integrity.
  • Review existing IT platform builds, developed processes, system performance metrics, identify potential bottlenecks, and provide progressive improvement plans.
  • Conduct studies and assessments on various system data sources, perform data mapping activities, and address any data-related matters to guarantee accurate integration across systems.
  • Ensure smooth integration between different banking systems and platforms by optimising data flows that support both business operations and reporting requirements.
  • Lead complex IT project initiatives from initial planning through successful deployment while ensuring timely delivery within defined scope and budget constraints.
  • Facilitate engagement with senior stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements then translate these into actionable technical design specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including developers, analysts, engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders—to ensure cohesive execution of project objectives.
  • Provide production support for banking applications by resolving critical system incidents within SLA timeframes; monitor system performance proactively to identify issues early.
  • Manage production deployments and system changes with proper testing protocols, rollback procedures, and minimal disruption to ongoing banking operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards as well as security protocols; stay current with evolving banking regulations and technology compliance requirements.
  • Implement robust security measures alongside risk mitigation strategies while maintaining adherence to enterprise architecture standards.

  • Proven track record as a Solution Architect or similar role specifically within the banking sector will be highly valued by the client.
  • Extensive experience managing complex IT projects from initial conception through final delivery ensures you can handle multifaceted assignments effectively.
