Product Line Specialist

We are looking for a Product Line Specialist to join our Exlar team!

As a Product Line Specialist, you will be responsible for the execution of product line strategies and initiatives. Under general supervision, you will provide technical expertise within the sales channel to develop new business opportunities within their product portfolio. The position typically specializes in one or two products or product lines, focused on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities as well as coordinating corporate resources to close business for Company products and services. Interactions regularly involve multi-level sales efforts and demands building credibility and developing relationships within the customer base.

Location: Chanhassen, MN

Salary: $67,400 - $89,900

Your Challenge

  • Present the group’s capabilities & products in context for the customers’ areas of interest.

  • Understand and process customer requirements.

  • Translate customer requirements into solutions using the group's equipment.

  • Coalesce requirements and creatively conceive solutions to the customers’ problems.

  • Generate and present concept-level presentations in response to customer needs.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team on proposal efforts.

  • Demonstrate the group’s products – technically strong and hitting the main sales points.

  • Discuss how company products and services can meet requirements.

  • Seek ways to maximize the value and product content from each opportunity.

  • Experience in sales, product support or customer-facing roles.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

  • Experience with pricing models, cost structures, and proposal processes.

  • Ability to interpret technical product information and translate it for commercial audiences.
