ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll be doing
In this role, you will help shape and strengthen the organisation’s product governance framework, with a focus on continuous improvement and high standards of regulatory compliance, including Consumer Duty. You will take a proactive role in ensuring there is effective oversight across the full product lifecycle, from design through to ongoing operation.
You will work as a trusted advisor to the business, supporting the development of clear, enterprise-wide policy expectations and offering guidance on complex governance matters. Part of this role involves maintaining oversight of wider framework activity, identifying emerging risks and issues and escalating these appropriately to senior management.
You will also support the design and ongoing embedding of an effective end-to-end risk and control environment for product lifecycle risks. Through clear and insightful reporting, you will enable Accountable Executives to manage risk effectively and demonstrate their regulatory accountabilities with confidence.
Alongside this, you will work closely with senior leaders across a range of risk and governance activities, including issue management, regulatory evidence, and support for key governance and management forums. This provides regular exposure to senior decision-makers and the opportunity to influence outcomes at an enterprise level.
About you
For this role, you will have:
Demonstrable experience in financial services, with a good understanding of retail products and how they are designed, distributed and serviced, gained through operational, product, distribution and/or servicing roles
Governance, risk and control experience, with a good understanding of policy management, governance frameworks, and/or end-to-end risk and control design, particularly across operational and conduct risk
Highly effective communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex risk and governance topics both verbally and in writing, tailored for senior stakeholders across multiple business areas and also risk functions
Proven stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, demonstrating attention to detail, credibility, and commercial awareness in delivering high-quality outcomes
Excellent analytical and reporting capability, with a proven ability to identify themes, apply sound judgement, and produce succinct, insightful reporting that enables senior leaders to understand and manage risks effectively

Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand
Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development
Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes
You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
