Role Overview
The Product Lifecycle Executive supports product obsolescence activities. This role is responsible for developing and executing processes and procedures to phase out products smoothly across Renishaw’s optical product range.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Product Marketing to support obsolescence messaging
Analyse sales data to support decisions on obsolete components.
Support specific obsolescence programmes
Develop & implement formal obsolescence process through the corporate obsolescence process
Ensuring compliance with Renishaw and legal standards are maintained through out obsolescence
Build relationships with Product Marketing & MSD to manage last time buy requests
Support component management with Material Control and Purchasing for end-of-life products
Maintain and support product obsolescence documentation
Key requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to “get on with people” and to work as part of a team
Analytical mindset
Ability to adapt and respond to business need
Knowledge in PDM, Teamcenter, Media Centre and Syteline
Desirable
Familiarity with regulatory compliance & product lifecycle management
Experience with Renishaw products
Problem solving experience
Experience with working with remote team members
Understanding of encoder production processes
Awareness of MRP/ERP systems

The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation and be a team player, with a positive attitude to problem solving. They will be pro-active, a completer and highly organised.
