As the Product Leader, you will champion Goodyear’s core value of SAFETY by ensuring that all actions, decisions, and operational practices support a “Zero Accident – Absolute Safety” culture across the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise and functional leadership to drive excellence in product quality, quality systems integrity, process capability, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with team and organizational goals. You will lead and support the implementation and industrialization of new products and processes while proactively addressing quality and technical challenges to achieve operational excellence. Success in this role depends on close collaboration within a cross-functional team environment, working in partnership with the People Leader, Process Specialist, and Reliability Specialist to consistently deliver team KPIs and business objectives.
What You'll Do
You will develop, improve, and maintain quality-related documentation, including Control Plans, FMEA, and process capability studies.
You will support product industrialization initiatives and the continuous improvement of product specifications to ensure operational and customer requirements are consistently met.
You will drive process capability improvement activities and lead initiatives that support KPI achievement and overall manufacturing excellence.
You will enhance customer satisfaction for products and services through strong collaboration with internal customers and the execution of layered audits.
You will assist in resolving technical issues by applying scientific problem-solving methodologies while ensuring compliance with QUALITY standards, procedures, and process guidelines
What We're Looking For
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
You bring at least 5 years of manufacturing experience in plant quality and technology, including 2–3 years of leadership or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
You have experience working in a unionized environment and are familiar with Continuous Improvement, Zero Loss concepts, Plant Optimization, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Lean manufacturing principles.
