We are proud to be the first financial technology platform to combine consumer credit and global remittances. Our product solves the worst aspects of money transfer by empowering our customers to use credit rather than cash. At the same time, we help immigrants establish their financial future in their new country by building positive credit history with their existing remittance obligations and financially include their loved ones in emerging economies with access to modern financial instruments.
We’re a team of ~45 and are growing our San Francisco headquarters. Our investors include Keith Rabois of Khosla Ventures (formerly of Founders Fund, CEO at Opendoor, former COO of Square), Kevin Hartz (Co-founder/CEO of Xoom and Eventbrite) of A* Capital, The Chainsmokers, The Weeknd, and more.
Pomelo is looking for an outstanding Product Lead to report to our VP of Product and own a major product area(s) such as credit, money movement, market expansion, and growth.
- 6+ years of experience in a product manager role or similar
- Fintech experience: prior work in money transfers, credit, or payments
- Impact oriented: a strong focus on delivering outcomes over inputs or outputs
- User obsessed: seeks to deeply understand users and their problems and translate their needs into impactful solutions
- Data informed: uses key insights from qualitative and quantitative data to drive product decisions
- Strategic and tactical: adept at switching from high level vision and roadmap to day-to-day execution and delivery
- Product sense: drives sound product decisions based on thoughtful consideration of key requirements and tradeoffs
- Relentless: self starter with a strong bias for action and getting things done
- Collaboration: builds mutual understanding and trust with others across teams
- Exceptional verbal communicator with different audiences and contexts
- Founder, early stage, or hyper growth startup experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
